I'm Mathanlal residing at Vijayanagar, Velachery.
It was my experience(FAILURE) is applying new Airtel Broadband connection.
On October 22nd, I filled registration form in Name 'Ram Prakash'(my friend) and that guy assured that the connection will be given within a week time.
I paid him the amount Rs. 999/- (advance rent for the corresponding BB plan)
Ref. No. for that connection applied is 1215060 - Ram Prakash - Ph: +91-97897-25521
We waited for 10 days and then
On Nov. 2nd(about), I called up Customer Care by referring that registration number. They replied that the connection to the desired address is not feasible and also stated that the amount paid will be delived to you as cheque in Courier/post.
Later, on Nov. 15th, I got a call from Airtel, Saidapet, Chennai(Ph: 8754549427) to apply for a new connection.
I told the above said things in detail during the call. They replied that the previous applied connection is already closed.
They stated the following.
1. We are expanding our Broadband connections now and are planned to give to any Area.
2. The previous connection was closed because there is no extension of further in that region(they used some technical words like DD box, etc)
3. Now, you can apply newly and will assure you to provide the connection within a span of 2/3 working days.
I requested them to re-open the same Registration(ref. no. 1215060) and process it.
But they refused to re-open by saying that registration is already closed and the amount is dispatched (I waited for it, but till now I didn't received that amount/ cheque).
I requested to check the feasibility for a new connection for that address. But they turned down to do so and said we will give it at any cost.
Then I accepted to go for a new connection again.
The phone call continues by saying 'Our representative will come to fill the form'.
On Nov. 18th, the representative came and filled the registration form and paid Rs. 999/- again as Advance.
Ref. No. for that new connection applied is 1223045 - Balaji - Ph: +91-89399-799979
There is no phone call/ message after then.
On Nov. 23rd, I called up saidapet airtel office(Ph: 8754549427) asking the details/status for the new connection. They replied that our technicians are held up with some other works and will come after 2 days.
On Nov. 25th, I called up again to the same number(Ph: 8754549427), they replied the same and ask for another two days.
Finally before drafting this mail on Nov. 29th, the replied with an answer as follows.
1. the desired address is not feasible to give a new connection
2. the port is already full and asking us to wait for few days until they install new one.
This is the reply that I got for the previous registration(1215060) itself.
For waiting more than a month for a new Broadband connection and had spent Rs. 2000/- after then to get the same reply.
Till now I didn't recieved any cheque for my previous registration.
Very much frustrated with the customer service of Airtel
Kindly give back my money at the earliest, I'll have some other Broadband service.
