I have used Airtel broadband for 1.5 years from Aug'08 to Nov '09 at Gurgaon. There wasn't a single bill unpaid from me in this time period. All of the bills have been paid before the due date.
I had canceled my connection in 3rd week of November '09 by making atleast 20 calls at the Airtel broadband helpline in Gurgaon. Finally in one communication they asked me to submit my Modem at Airtel center at Sector 14, Gurgaon and pay the outstanding bill, which I did. I have the receipt of submission of my modem on 1st December 2009 from the Airtel center.
Even after this Airtel kept sending me wrong bills. They have sent me bills totalling upto 2500 now and today I receive a call from some advocate that a case has been filed!
I ask ... is this the way Airtel treats its customers? There is no way I should be paying the bill since its for the period post december, when I had submitted my modem and could not possibly use the internet service.
Kindly look into the matter as its a case of harassment of consumers.
