We had taken Airtel Landline connection with DSL (# 0124-4144722) in Gurgaon. We then moved to Bangalore in December 2007. When we moved to Bangalore we asked for the connections to be deactivated. The phone connection was deactivated on 25-Dec-2007 as per Airtel Records. The DSL connection, it seems, Airtel never disconnected. Now they have come to us asking for payment of amount nearing Rs.40,000/- saying that the DSL was not disconnected and had been used (don't know by whom). It was Airtel's failure to deactivate the DSL and someone has been fraudulently using it. Why should I be paying it?
