    Angry Airtel Internet Disconnect and Billing Problem

    Hi,

    I wanted to file a complain against the department that's in-charge of handling your disconnect requests. I got the internet service connected in my house on 31/12/2009. Phone number that was associated with my account is 01724010192.

    I had called your customer service line around April 15, 2010 and talked to your rep to setup the disconnect of all my services. The rep was very polite and assured me that all billing will stop the same day and a technician was going to come to my house to pickup the equipment that way I will not be billed any more. One of your tech's showed up at my house and picked up your stuff a few days after the call was placed.

    I thought that it was all taken care of and I will not have to worry about anything, but to my surprise guess what happened? The smart customer service rep that I had talked to NEVER setup a disconnect and NEVER stopped the billing on my account. So this is the issue that I have, since April 15, 2010 the billing still has not stopped and whats completely insane is that your company has the audacity to continue billing me.

    If this type of customer service that your company is offering, I think you guys need to re-think the way you conduct business. Please be aware if my issue is not resolved within the next two weeks, I will not hesitate and I will use all the socializing networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Orkut etc... and inform everyone about the POOR customer service that YOUR COMPANY offers. Oh, in-case I forget to mention, I do have the contact information of lead editors of Chandigarh Tribune, The Hindu, Indian Express, Aaj Tak and a few more and believe me they will be more then happy to start a investigation to expose your company.

    I hope you can take care of my billing issue cause in addition various socializing sites and media companies, I will also contact your Chairman Sunil Mittal and your CEO Sanjay Kapoor.

    I want a reply from your guys in 24 Hrs, if not I will start drafting the necessary paperwork and will initiate contact with the parties listed above.

    Default Exorbitant bill and bad customer service

    I am Kapil B Khanna,Mumbai,Lokhandwala Kandivali resident.
    I was intimated on my mobile that my current bill is Rs 16281/- ..which
    is exorbitant...unbelievable and greatly hypothetical..I have already raised
    the complaint 131714..on OCT 2ND 10 AND WAS TOLD THAT THE COMPLAINT WILL BE RESOLVED AND TAKEN CARE OF TILL 11TH OCTOBER.I came in the country on september 4th...I had been complaining from earlier times from overseas that your engineer had disabled the wireless router password when he changed the modem and my connnection was being stolen....(Take note that I never had to pay more than Rs 607/- since my installation)...Inspite of that I paid the bill of 1685/- so as not to have unnecessary hassles and to have smooth transition of plan to unlimited...

    Also,I had intimated and already been continuosly requesting Airtel since
    earlier month,from 4th September to change my bill plan to swift 1099
    unlimited and put the password protection as I feared that my connection was
    being used by somebody else.Neither anybody called me or addressed the problem of the delay in the plan change.whereas you had confirmed in your mail that within 3-4 working days the same will be done which is under complan no 44822.It was only after my call on Sept 17 evening that the same was confirmed to me...The first mail regarding the confirmation was sent to me on 20th Sept...Inspite of regular reminders and complaining it was delayed action that caused this situation..and I will take no responsibility of the same...I already
    suffered from delayed work projects due to to your delayed action and now you
    are slapping this bill on me which I am not going to accept..STILL AS OF TODAY THERE HAS BEEN NO ACTION AND REPLY FROM AIRTEL..

    Hello Sir,

    I have long complain and for it I have already shown my patience.
    In short story is around 6 month back I registered a problem about modem not working and they promise for solution with in 24 hrs. After that I complained around 30-40 times. But they never care for that. In last I stopped paying my bill and they disconnected my connection but still generating my bills. Now one day their candidate came to home and the Manager told us on ph to pay bill after some discount and with the promise of getting previous problem resolved. That discount is basicaaly when we are not getting service because of modem issue.

    We given them the check and the connection started after 1 week and problem also resolved In lieu of that they given us written commitment. Even we paid the bill of last month when connection was disconnected. Now after 1 month they again disconnected my connection and asking to pay that discounted money and not considering any written prrof even. The connection is again not working from last 20 days and I am sure the bill meter will be running.

    They are saying "koi phayda nahi hai paise de do connection chal jayega varna naya connection kahi se loge to bhi itna paisa to lag hi jayega". Now its not a matter of money its about promise and customer satisfaction.

    You tell what we should do and why I believe to those call center person whose promise never done. What if they ask any money amount and say this is your unbill amount.

    Please do me favour if you can.

    My name is neelabh singh and I have landline connection with broadband services on the number 011-45511908 under the name of Himanshu Kumar. Himanshu Kumar is my elder brother. The reason I'm writing this letter is simple. Firstly I requested for shifting of my airtel services on a new address from the old address. I was given information that it would take 3 days to confirm it if I would be able to use the services of airtel on my new address or not. Then a guy from airtel confirmed after taking down the survey in the area that there's no possibility for it because there are no airtel lines running down here. Even if he could get the permission for digging in which is against all odds, it's gonna take days to do it. So I told him to go back and then I called the airtel broadband customer care number 011-44444121 from the number +91-9968982399 either on the 16th or on 17th night to make the request for the cancellation of the services. He said it would be done and no reference number was given to me for that particular call. Next day I called that customer care number again from the same number just to confirm it because that person told me that I would be getting a confirmation call for it which I didn't get. So I called again. The customer care executive asked me for reference number which I didn't have and then he asked me If by any chance I remember when I called yesterday so I told him the time and then he confirmed it that yes around 4:30 in the evening a call was made to us. and then again I made the request for the cancellation of the services. He said the same thing like I would be getting a confirmation call and then it would take a week or around 10 days to to deactivate the services and within 24 hours your billing rental would be stopped(which was my main concern). But still no reference number was given and nothing had happened. No confirmation call other than a call which had a tape asking for "if yes press one and if not press 2" something like it was playing so I thought it must for the cancellation of the services. So I pressed one and the number was +91-9910337451 dated 18.October.2010 at the time 12:55 PM. But still nothing happened after that. So I made two more requests later in the night the same day and then the next day too. Same thing was told me that you would get a confirmation call and around 10 days it would take to deactivate everything. But still then nothing happened. No calls and nobody visited my old place where my relatives still live there. and I made it very clear in two calls that " I WON'T BE PAYING ANY BILLS IF IT IS ACCOUNTED FOR MORE THAN 12 DAYS i.e., till 17 October" They said yes sir.. it's fine.
    But still no action was taken.
    and then few days later i.e., on 25th october 2010 I received a call from the number +9111-47624400 at the 2:56 PM regarding shifting of the services for which I strictly said no and then again I told them about my requests regarding my cancellation of the services and that I have already taken a new mtnl connection. they said yes sir ok.. and then the same day at 4:21 PM I received a call again for shifting of the services from the number +9111-40621000. and then again I told them that I don't want it and just cancel it. and after one hour I got another call from the same number regarding shifting of the services and I made it clear once again that I don't want it and cancel all the services. He said yes sir absolutely.
    but still nothing happened and yesterday I made the call again on the number 011-44444121 from the number +91-9968982399 regarding cancellation. I told her everything that has happened and then she tells me that I have lodged a complaint regarding it on the 26th of october and then I did tell her that I wont be paying any bills if it is accounted for more than 12 days. she said now that won't be necessary and I'm making the request the again. I have mentioned everything that you have told me and you would be getting a call tomorrow regarding this and then I got the reference number which is 166212268.
    So in this case I'm not the one who is at the fault, it's your people and you have to pay for the bill if it is accounted for more than 12 days or so. It's your duty to make sure that a immediate action should be taken regarding this and cancel my services on that number and send me the bill for only 12 days or so. You do what you have to check or cross reference it with your records but I'm not going to pay the excess amount of the bill.
    and even in one of the calls the guy mentioned that if you haven't used broadband services or landline services after making the request then we will look after it and positive action would be taken for it and actually I haven't used it so you can cross reference check that too. BUT JUST MAKE SURE SERVICES ARE BEING CANCELLED AND NO ACCESS BILLING AMOUNT HAS BEEN SENT.
    And I sent this email last night to care.ncr@airtelbroadband.in after talking to customer care executive and I haven't received a reply and I have sent this email again a few moments back to 121@airtelindia.com. So kindly take the immediate action for it.

    Better make it fast and make sure you check your records and everything before sending the bill because like I told you I haven't used the landline for calling purposes and broadband services after 13th october or 15th october. and Kindly disconnect the services from the number mentioned as soon as possible.

    I had requested airtel for disconnection of my internet and landline connection on 13/10/2010 for the account no.11833322. One of the airtel executives had told me that my net connection will automatically get disconnected on the 26th of October but they failed to do so. I later called back again on the 3rd of November and asked the airtel people to disconnect my internet and landline, and one of employee had told me that it will automatically get disconnected on the 6th of November and
    I still haven't got my connection discontinued. I have mailed airtel yesterday again and yet to get a reply. I do not understand the intention of airtel behind this delay.

    All my dues for the month of October had been cleared and I have used none of their services after 25th of October. I will be not be liable to pay any future bills received from now on. I hope you discontinue the services as soon as possible as I won't be informing you people on and on again. Thanks.

    yeah please do the disconnection of the both the landline and internet fast...and ya I have unplugged both my landline and broadband because I do not want to be blamed that I used the internet even for 1 byte or the landline for even a incoming call.

    Default Airtel billing issue-urgent

    My account number is 15899608 and fixed line number is 03340664012.

    I took a new connection around 4 months back....i was travelling in mumbai and paid my bill of Rs 645 at Airtel relationship centre in Mumbai ( Kamdar telecom, Fort area, Mumbai) on 9th october, 2010...
    I provided them my account number and they said they mailed it to kolkata customer care and will be updated. But later i came to know that this payment is not showing and my line was cut...but the bills came coming and now due is showing as 2109 and line is still disconnected.
    I am willing to pay the required amount after reducing Rs 645 which i paid and late fines....
    Let me know if it can be resolved and line can be reconnected

    Hi Team,

    This is Ankur Ahuja with Airtel Landline Number 01244014909 .I am facing issue with my broadband bill which is 4300 rs according to my usage.

    When i got this Broadband i was confirmed from the Airtel Exeutive that it was a unlimited plan but they have made it to the limited one.

    After lodging so many times a complaint on customer care they are not acting on it and without resolving the request they are closing the request saying that u have to pay the bill.

    i am following up on the complaints from 27th October and till now i got a numerous call from airtel everytime the same i have to explain and they are not following the process.

    Closing the request without intimating the customer,and the executive is not talking properly ,last time very rudely he talked with me for that also i loged a complint but no actions.

    i am a airtel customer form last 10 years i dont want my relationship with airtel to be weaken by these issues.

    Kindly look into this and take appropriate action against it.


    I dont want my number to be cut off ,kindly provide immidiate resolution to it.

    i finally received a call today from airtel in my mobile...again explained them the problems i have been facing ...i hope the disconnection finally takes place atleast now...Kindly look into it...i hope the same problem doesn't arise again...Thanks

    my name is prameela.k,and my mobile number is 9701249363 .from the past few days my balance has been over and when i discovered that my mobile is connected to the internet.i am not able to call customer care and not able to find asolution please tell me how to dissconnect from the intrnet connection.
    thanks i am hoping and waiting for a solution for my problem.

    I agree with the pathetic services of Airtel..kindly help me out too...
    My number 9000 003706 (prepaid) has been suddenly barred (incoming and outgoing) without any information and when I inquired they said that documents are insufficient. In this 15-18 days I have re-submitted the documents 3 times and everytime they has verified the documents before accepting them. But till now my number is barred.

    I am using this number for the last 2 years and all my bank accounts and clients carry this number.

    Instead of making life better, Airtel has made my life miserable..and more than that - I am able to do nothing.

    I will just wait for a day or 2 and will go for media (newspaper).

    I do not know much about this forum. If something can be done kindly do that friends.
