Hi,
I am having Airtel landline / broad band connection with the land line # 080 -41154672 (Bangalore / Karnataka)
On 28-07-2011 , I have applied for an Airtel IPTV connection through one of the Airtel Executive. He has visited my place and committed the connection would be available next day. I made a payment for Rs 999/- through check (No 20849 Citi Bank) on the same day.
As I haven’t seen any response for 3-4 days I have called customer care center and came to know that , the connection normally takes 7 days. I agreed for the same , raising my concern about the wrong commitment made by the executive. The customer care executive have created a ticket to provide a solution ASAP. As I haven’t got the connection even after a week’s time and I have called the customer care center multiple times. I was surprised to know that they have closed the ticket which was opened , without any resolution. This time they were asking for more time to realize the connection. It was told that Airtel was facing technical problems at their side to realize the connection
Meantime Airtel have presented the check and deducted the amount from my account, even though they were not able to provide the connection .
I called back Airtel and said , as you have deducted the amount and not giving me IPTV connection , I will not be paying my broadband bill . He agreed and said Airtel will not be levying a late payment fee for this.
A few days later some time in Sep second week, Airtel Technician came to my place to install IPTV . He said providing connection at my place is not feasible and I was convinced with his explanation. Next day I have called Airtel Customer Care to cancel the IPTV connection request , as it may not be feasible to have a connection at my place. They have taken the request and agreed to send the amount I have paid (Rs . 999/-) back to me. I have requested the executive to roll back the late payment fee they have already levied to my broad band bill , as per the previous commitment they have made . The executive have taking this request and offered me a call back from their billing department within a couple of days . As I haven’t got any call from billing department , I have called back to Airtel customer care and came to that the request had been closed without any resolution. I wasn’t surprised with this , as this is not the first time customer care closing my complaint without any resolution .
However the executive offered me a call back from his supervisor, which never happened (again not surprising to me as this happened may time )
Now my request to you on priority are
1) fix the issues with my broad band bill and send me the updated bill as soon as possible. I will be making the payment only after I received the updated bill.
2) Send me back the amount I have paid for IPTV connection ASAP
3) Provide explanation for closing the tickets without having a proper resolution and consent from the customer
4) Provide explanation for the wrong commitment made by the IPTV sales executive
I would like to inform you that I will take this into legal channel , if this is not been resolved in a week’s time from now
