Default Airtel - PC Secure fee included in my bill unecesserily

    Sir/Madam,

    This is Haridas.V from chennai and my airtel landline number is + 91 - 44 - 4385 0495

I am using your broad band service (1099 4mbps plan) since Apr 2010. Then i changed my plan from 1099 to 899 4mbps plan, two days back i got your bill stated Rs. 1085/-through my mail. In that they have charged 85rs for PC secure. when i was using 1099 plan the same 85rs was added in my bill, but it was automatically deducted from the grand total. so i just called 121 customer care to know about for what you are charging 85rs in my bill. customer care executive told me that there are three benefits for your 1099 4mbps plan and 85rs pc secure is one of the benefit included in that and we will charge that 85rs in your bill and it will get automatically deducted from your grand total.

Then after 2 mnths i got migrated to 899 4mbps plan and i also got the bill for that month two days back. In that bill they have charged 85rs for PC secure, but it is not deducted from the grand total. i contacted customer care regarding this on 28 Jul 2010, he told me that he didnt get the bill generated for this month and he asked me to call after 4-5 days. so i called them again on 01 Aug 2010 and asked abt the 85rs PC secure. He told me that you please contact your nearby airtel office regarding that and also he deactivated my PC secure. then again i contacted directly the nearby customer care centre, they told me to call the banglore hotline number and ask for bill waiver. so i called them, one lady answered my cal and i was telling about al these things. then she came with a new surprise that sir when u were using the 1099 plan, 85rs PC secure was free and now u r using the 899 plan and it is not free for your current plan. It was activated during 1099 plan nw it is continuing for the current plan too and it is not possible to waiver the amount in your bill and she was also telling that you will get the same 85rs in your next bill too as you have deactivated that service only on 1 Aug 2010.

But the thing is iam not aware of all those benefits associated with that 1099 plan. Its ur people's duty to explain the customers about the plan in a clear and detailed manner. The guy who promoted me the plan told me only about the tariff and the speed associated with the particular plan. He dint explained me about the benefits associated with that or atleast people sitting in the customer care office shoud have told me about the 899 plan when i went there for the plan migration that Rs 85/- PC secure is not free with this plan. But they also dint informed me about that. Now you people are blaming the customers.

The shocking thing was when i was speaking to lady from banglore customer care she was telling that u will be charged the same 85rs in your next bill as i have deactivated that service only on 1 Aug 2010 rather deactivating it on 28 or 29 Jul 2010. you tel me how can a customer deactivate the service before getting the bill as it was forwarded to my mail only 2 days back. Also i have contacted the customer care on 28 Jul 2010 and the same people asked me to call after 4-5 days. if they would have deactivated that service on 28 Jul 2010 then the problem wouldnt have arise. tel me who is wrong now.

If you can automatically activate the PC secure service for 1099 plan without asking the customer, the same u can automatically deactivate for the 899 plan when a customer wants to. but u r not doing that.

So I am requesting you to waiver the amount of Rs 85/- PC secure plan for this month bill and for my next month bill also.

    Thanks & regards,

    Haridas.V, Chennai
