dear sir,
I wanted to file a complain against the BSNL Broadband excess billing. I got the internet service connected in my house in march 2010. Phone number that was associated with my account is 0674-2720314. I want to inform you that I am currently using bsnl broadband service. I had joined a plan of Rs 500 per month in march 2010,but after first bill all the other bills had come more excess: 2200 in may,2500 in jun,and in july 1500crossed till now. I had made on line complaint in BSNL complaint portal but after one day it was closed automatically when I complained to the BSNL account officer he informed me that it will be adjusted in your next bill and asked me to pay all the bill otherwise your phon will be disconnected. I observed that on 17nh july I have not use modem yet my uses show 2gb download.I have 1gb free downloadind and 2am-8am downloading is free I am not use internet so much as it show.currently bill is more than 5000. Hi,

i am devendra pathak residing at jalahalli bangalore 560015. i use phone number 080-23451792 . . this phone was install at my residence on 29/06/2010. plan was home combo 500 for broadband use. my bill for month of June was rs 2200 approx and deposited on prescribed date. another bill received for July month rs1192. this bill show rs 900 for accessory rental charge . where as i have purchased modem on payment from you i am defense personal and registered for 20% rebate. rs 180 was charged for monthly rental which is not applicable in this plan . i have already complained written application to customer care jalahalli for the same on 21/08/2010 . and e mail to customer care on line on 18/08/2010. my last date for this bill is 03/09/2010. still no confirmation and information for excess bill . please extend your advice and help to resolve this issue. this is my third complain regarding same. looking forward for help and advice thanking you and regards devenda pathak |

Dear madam,
you may contact/meet the General Manager in person alongwith all the bills. I am sure he will solve your complaint. Afterall it is Semi govt. dept, nobody is benefited of excess billing. Saburi Karo saburi ka fal mitha hota hai. Regards, best wishes Shashi.P. |

With reference to the above, I,Deepak Tiwari wish to bring to your notice that my broadband bill has been charged excessively.I started receiving skyhigh bills from March 2010 onwards.This was due to the updation in the BSNL Broadband software from March onwards. Yes, I used more data than my plan permits, the BSNL staff should have provided the bill for the month of March in the April but instead they sent me 3 months pending bills (March,April,May) in July so I couldn't even change or disconnectmy plan in time.Inspite of their fault, I got the bill amount resolved under SAMADHAN Scheme.I wrote an application to change my plan from Home 500 C to 750 UL PLUS on 2 July 2010 Ref Number: 800124381.But the mam at the broadband helpdesk said that there was some PENDING STATUS in my account so she isn't able to change my plan and also refused to take my application. She told me that she has sent the error report to CHANDIGARH and as soon as the problem is resolved my plan would be changed and I can submit the application after that.I kept on reminding her about the same for 2 weeks and she kept on giving me assurance that there won't be any problem, the 750 UL PLUS plan would be effective from the same month ie July.I called the BSNL Broadband Callcenter, they informed me that there is no PENDING REQUEST in my account, but every time I contacted BSNL helpdesk at Sanganeri Gate, they said that they are waiting for reply from Chandigarh and my account shows the PENDING error. After that my son went out to pursue his studies so he was not able to contact or remind the mam at helpdesk for the plan change. Now ,in October I have recieved huge bills for internet usage ( July,August,September,October) totalling to about Rs 20,000. I had paid the excessive bill amount for the month of June as well as for the month of August. Is it the customer's duty to keep on reminding the BSNL staff to do their work on time or keep on running after staff 15 times a month? I am really frustrated and irritated that's why I got the Broadband connection disconnected on 7 October 2010 Reference Number:800767305.Two days after that, my phone got disconnected and within 3 days,I received my new bill of Rs 20,000. If BSNL can send my bill within 3 days of disconnection, why can't they send one month's bill in the next month.This proves that they deliberately sent me 3 months bills so as to deceive, cheat and harrass me and so that they can fool the customer and make big bucks. The only amount I am willing to pay is Rs 750 x 4= Rs 3,000 as per my supposed to be 750 UL Plan but I have already paid my August bill of Rs 4,287 which is in excess of Rs 3,000. Please refund the excessive amount I have paid and stop sending me the bill again and again.I am not going to go to the BSNL Office or run after lazy officer's desk from one floor to another, pleading them to get the work done. Your service, customer support is ridiculous, people are lackadaisical and there is no technical know how or cooperation between different departments. with reference to the above,I wanted to file a complain againest B.S.N.L.Brod-band excess billing. The land line No:- 0631-2221905 .This phon is install at my residence. I Dr SUMAN DEVI that the bill date 07-05-2008for rs:568=00 The bill prepair of faulty period date 01-03-08t to 30-04-08 .I wrote an appllication to cancilled the faulty bill. The D.G.M. gaya has recomended and sent the application A.O.Tra. The J.T.O. has also recomended and sent to S.D.O. phons gaya. As yet no action has been tacken by S.D.O.phons. That my second problam ,Inspite of this folt is because not given the proper details /advice / booklet by depatment . .First plan home 299/- for brod band use.I ussed more data 9,447 mb.for bill Rs:3,738 = 00.second plan 500/- ussed data 24,743 mb for bill Rs:5,423=00 In the bill has been charsed excessively. I wrote the application exess brodband uceses amount resolved under SAMADHAN scheam. I have to request that my problam should be clearly early solved. I want to remind you sir that i have all ready sent resisterd application for your direction .in this time brod conection is disconected. still no conformation and information for canciledbill date 07-05-2008 and brod band exes uses charge acording to un limited plan charge Rs;750/-.and the amount adjust the bill. plese extend your advice and help to resolved this issue. this is my third complain regarding same looking forward for help and advice. I live in ranchi & i 've been using bsnl broadband 500 combo plan since last 18 months. Previously i was satisfied with the bill, but from the last 4-5 they are sending huge bills, (the billing system has been somewhat modified also bsnl portal is down from last 5 months ) .my previous bill was rs 4779/- which was completely false as i m sure i ve not used that much, bsnl authorities are of no help in any way. Now for the month of november my bill is rs 7349/- shocking!
I m 100% sure i ve not used this much. I m left with no other option than to disconnect my broadband & landline ph to avoid such huge(rather false) bills in future. I dont know what to do please help Please mail me at ashish3801@gmail.com |

Dear Sir,
Sub. : Complaint regarding Excess Billing. [Name : Girdhari Khandelwal , Tel. No. 2570176] Sir , I wish to state that I am having Telephone No. 2570176 with the Broadband Plan Home Combo 550 (with 175 Free Calls & 1.5 GB Data Usage) since May 2010 in the name of Girdhari Khandelwal R/o 34, Kabir Enclave, Dayalbagh,Agra. I am s also paying the bills of the above said phone in due time Now till September 2010 mine billing amount was proper with respect to the usage of the data and calls and all the details were also provided to me on net as well. Thereafter there was a change in software & Web of BSNL as told to me when i went to Sanjay Place office for paying bill of September 2010 on non receipt of the bill for that month, and the information was provided that the billing system shall be updated till December 2010 and I will be given time for paying the same in instalments. Thereafter the applicant received September Bill for Rs.552/- which was paid on dated 15-12-10. Then again the bill for October 2010 was received for Rs.1503/-, and I shocked to look the huge amount And after enquiry for the the bill it was found the data usage units given in bill were 2978919 which was shown excess of free usg 1572864, I paid the bill under protest on dated 10-1-11, Thereafter again bill of November 2010 came for 933/- in the same manner and was paid under protest on dated 21-1-11 to avoid the disconnection of service. And again on dated 25 Jan,2011 bill for December 2010 came for Rs. 2196/- without details of usage or call and on enquiry from the BSNL office of sanjay place and the reason was told due to usage of data of 4195168 units Which was found quite unreasonable. I am really very much shocked that in spite of not using the web/internet the billings are very excessive and giving misleading data of usage due to change of software or billing system of BSNL for the last 3 months, the customers were also kept in blind as the sites were kept blocked for last 3 months to check the usage and now we are forced to pay the bill for the usage which infact we did not use saying the portal is giving the usage and we have to pay for that. It is really very much shameful for the Organization like BSNL as it is harming the reputation of BSNL. Because the billing system is not satisfactory,providing misleading informations and customer is unaware of usage, was not given opportunities for checking usage from time to time during last 3 months and suddenly after 3 months are told to pay the bill saying you used the data of so much of units without any evidence saying that our portal is giving so much unit of data used. I have complaint 8 times since January 2011 & 2-3 times to TRAI but inspite of resolving the complaints my services (outgoing & broadband) has been deactivated from 8-5-2011. I don’t know whether this may happen due to technical fault in billing system in calculation of usage of data or have been done intentionally. But this matter is definitely is of serious attention. I filled 2 RTI to sought information regarding such grievance and to know the reason for such providing heavy usage of data but of no use except proving misguided/improper reply , I again filled the 3rd RTI on dated 11-05-2011 the reply of the same is awaited, however all the information sought and replied can be provided to you for further reference on your demand. I have also bring the matter in the notice of TRAI via mail at ap@trai.gov.in, daca@trai.gov.in on dated 12-05-2011 and again on dated 17-05-2011. Now Sir, if you come forward and look into the matters , if demand the no. of the similar complaints and their resolving systems, you will be shocked to know the workings of the BSNL and you will find that how the BSNL is misguiding the consumers and demanding the amount for such huge data usage which he has in fact not used but is being provided after 3 months for the previous periods keeping consumers in dark and such huge data was nothing but is created due to technical fault. You can demand the information of billing amount of the consumers of Broadband user (Other than consumer who opted for Unlimited Usage Plan) for the period from June 10 to September 2010 and again verify the billing amount of the same consumers for the period from October 2010 to January 2011, You will very well come to know the statistics of the same and the differences of huge amount, which might be beyond your imagination as the information is not still provided to me during my previous RTI’s Application Filled as well. As a result now either the consumers are perusing the matter themselves and suffering , or they are forced to pay the amount to continue the services or the services of broadband or outgoings are being deactivated as of mine has been done by BSNL from 8-5-2011. I am informing all about it so that you may enquire the matter and server the society if something wrong is happening to the common people of society and may help in providing some remedial steps and to look into the matters and to reveal the facts how much consumers is suffering in various ways, and to find out the excess amount which BSNL is demanding from the consumers with none of their fault. You need to enquire whether this technical fault is occurred by mistake or is created intentionally because on enquiry you will find that how much public money is being demanded from the general consumers for the services which they have not availed.
