Default Cheating and harassment by Tikona Broadband

I am Piyush Jain, resident of Pune (Maharashtra). I had applied for an wi-fi internet connection from Tikona Broadband. In response to my connection request Tikona sent an official to check the connectivity on 02/August/2010 as they stated that in order to provide a connection the connectivity should be more than 30%.

The official's name is Mr. Vijay, He checked the connectivity and assured me that Tikona can provide me an internet connection. Then in the name of connection installment fee, I was asked to pay Rs 500/- along with my documents, which I provided him in cheque and completed all the formalities by 03/August/2010.

I also mentioned to him that I am in an urgent need of internet connection and requested him to speed up the process, to which Mr. Vijay assured me again that the connection will take place on 04/August/2010.

From here the harassment by the Tikona officials started, as i had to make repeated calls to them and remind them that I had requested to an immediate connection, I called up Mr Vijay on 04/August/2010, he replied that he has submitted my documents and when I called up customer care they replied that no record of my name or of my request exists with them.

Finally on 05/August/2010, I requested the customer care and Mr. Vijay that since they have lied to me so I do not wish to have a connection from Tikona and requested to refund my money along with my documents, to which they responded quickly and i received an sms from Tikona which had my user name and password. Therefore I gave them another opportunity to install the connection.

On 06/August/2010, their engineer (I don't know his name) visited my house and during the process of installing he notified me that the connection cannot be done as the connectivity is less than 30%.

Though Mr. Vijay had checked the connectivity and on agreeing that it is more than 30% he took the payment, now it implies that Tikona duped me and CHEATED me that the connection can be done and on that basis only they collected the money from me.

Thus my connection request was terminated and I was assured of a refund, but I had to make repeated calls to their customer care and still they made excuses that the process will be initiated from Mumbai head office. Finally i told them that i would lodge a complaint against them to which they started showing me complaint immune behavior.

After this, I was forced to visit their branch office on J.M road around 11/August/2010 ( I don't remember the exact date), again I met with the same non helping attitude and kept evading the issue by stating that its their Mumbai office responsibility but again assured me that my money will be refunded on 25/August/2010.

Thus I gave them the time and did not contact them after that but today is 26/August/2010 and I was again forced to call their head office in pune and tried speaking to Mr. Arjit Kapoor (Area Manager), I was asked to call after half an hour as he was in a meeting, i called back and again i was asked to call back after half an hour, i did that too but again Mr. Arjit did not answer and someone else picked up the phone and showed me again non helping attitude and when I said that I will lodge a complaint they showed me "I dont care" attitude.

So far my money has not been refunded even though it has been 18-20 days and the funny part is that they have even generated a bill although I dont have any internet connection.

I am tired of this harassment and the attitude they have showed me so far, PLEASE HELP ME.

Default I too complain

I have paid a few cheques. The first payment had no problems. But later, in spite of my cheques being encashed from my bank account, I was time and again reminded that I have not paid my monthly fees. I realized that my previous payments were carried over to the next bills as "previous dues" and added to the current bill. I have lodged a complain since July 2010. But no action has been taken on Tikona's part. Instead, I have been time and again given a call to pay up my fees. Which I of course refused on the condition that the previous irregularity be resolved and a revised bill be sent to me. I was afraid that bills will keep overlapping if the case remained unsolved for long. So, I continued writing and appealing the Tikona team to take up my case on priority basis. Nothing. Bills were sent to me with the previous dues [which of course were already cleared] still carried over. Instead of solving customers' problems, it seems that Tikona is hell bent on extracting money from unsuspecting customers. I even requested them to disconnect the line. They suspended the same for several days. But later, they sent an engineer [upon my request for having a discussion regarding the bill problem]. Actually, I was requesting for a responsible officer from the billing dept. Instead, they sent a person who, in his own words, is completely unaware of the billing systems. He said he was not from the billing section. However, in spite of my reluctance, he easily restored the connection. He however explained to me that the suspension of line was due to overdue of fee payment. After some time, he left and assured me that he would be sending some other person who knows about the billing system. Till today, no one came. Another overlapping bill has been issued yet again. And my case also remains unresolved. My first complaint was "forwarded to the concerned department". But no action came forth till today. Only demand for cheques! Only semblance of action is repeating my story to different officers who would call me, ask me to confirm my email id, service id, etc. which I did more than a hundred times by now. What is their policy? Service or extortion?

Major Ikon of Cheating and Harrasment from the root of its business is Tikona Broadband, Yes from Mumbai/Delhi office to bangalore office there is unending cheating to customers will be seen, off course some of the customers will be spared as to keep their bread and butter on, but you know where this bread and butter with cheese is coming from..?, ofcourse, by cheating customer like us.

My Introduction : My name is shailesh I live in Bangalore, Near electronics city area, on 3rd of August a vendor from broadband connections and took application form filled and Rs 500/- check on the name of "Tikona Care", and he verified the connection as it was little blinking said that signals are very well and you can go ahead with tikona, after this never ending story started

After a day a guy called surya (More Telugu, Minute english) came to my residence to give tikona connection, but when he started giving connection, NO Signals, then he started saying that he will come after 2 days with new device to install here, as I have been these experience , I told to leave the devices here and come back with new device after 2 days. he didn't agree and took back device after convincing me, after that day till now no one came back to me either for the connection or for my amount refund.

I kept calling them again and again.... raised many complaints, every time I get new date to get the refund, and once they told they will install the device in 2 days,, I was happy hearing that, after 5 days I called them back, again they gave me different date for refund. updated the complaint and told it will take 15 days to refund. after 10 days I called them they told, sir the complaint has been closed as it was not having sufficient information for refund. "WHAT THE HECK".... then he took new complanit saying that sir now I have all the information now I will take the request for this. and it will take another 15 days. "SOMEBODY TEACH THEM HOW TO WORK AND HOW TO SERVE CUSTOMERS"

Then I thought I took real action by contacting nodal officer Nagesh Prasad

His default mail format will be

How much patience I should have man..!!!, cant you understand from how many days I am loosing patience, by talking with you people, dont know/understand how to manage people and cusomers, you have very big position like nodal officers, I understand that it will take time, but how much, That was your mistake and you should take minimal time to correct it.

I am just getting the docket numbers but there is no action on anything.. they are just on mails and papers.

Such a frustration I am facing first time with any of the services, still lot more things are there, so Guys I suggest you to not to encourage Tikon,, may be it will look attractive at first, but it has got very worst service, I have faced many stupid people in Tikon.. Including higher officials. They are real cheaters.

And you know what !! they have sent me the bill to pay for first month.!! I asked them politely " without installing device you have sent me the bill, shoudl I pay it or not " then they say, " Sir let me check with my manager, whether you have to pay it or not."

Please think and Act ..!!

Tikona is the worst internet service i have ever received in my life.....
my tikona user id - 1101248687.
after complaining more than 1 month and making several calls to tikona care....they has not solve net problem yet.....and have not disconnected my internet connection either....
i had to get other internet connection......
they only promise and provide nothing..

Default Tikona - Do not go for it

Same like many people over here. I am harassed by Tikona. in Bangalore
Once I got tired by the connection (rather lack of connection) problems I requested for disconnection on July 17 . After relentless follow up I got a Tikona peronnel to take my modem back. That is in August. According to the agreement it should have been done in July(7 days from request for disconnection). It is september now . I keep getting the bill. I have sent innumerable emails , made twice the number of calls. I got a docket number directly from Nodal officer. Even now I am harassed by call centre for paying up the bill.
I keep asking the same question , How can I use the internet when you guys have taken up my modem.
Standard answer is We regret your inconvenience .... I will escalate. How many times??????
By the way my name in the database is spelt do badly that I cannot claim tax reductions on this one.
The number of failed follow ups is another story.. I don't think they check the identity proof submitted.
So overall rating for this ISP is 0/10. Beware.

Could some body in this forum advise me in the next legal steps to take?

Default Tikona Fraud

I had subscribed for a Tikona connection about a month back. The agent through whom I subscribed, Mr. Piyush ( 9990947349) took a cheque of Rs 800/- for the same. He promised me that my connection would be installed within a week. Since then, several weeks have passed and there's been no response from Mr. Piyush or anyone. This was just the begining. I called up Mr. Piyush several times seeing that there is no response. He never picked up my calls. I called up another number which Mr. Piyush had provided and found out that Mr. Piyush had been sacked. This number belonged to a person named Mr. Afzal, who happened to be Mr. Piyush's boss. When I explained my situation to Mr. Afzal, he said he'll check it and let me know as soon as possible. By that time even my the cheque that I had issued had been debited from my account to "Tikona Digital Networks". My account is in [B]United Bank of India[B] and the cheque number is 597645.

However Mr. Afzal (9654038880) told me that no records of my name or registration exists and when I asked him how did my money get debited, he accused me of lying and abused me in the filthiest possible language.

Apart from this I had sent several mails to the Nodal officer, and I have my doubts whether this person really exists in real life or not. The standard reply would be like this:

Dear Mr. Chatterjee,

We regret the inconvenience caused.

We have assigned your case to our Service Team. They shall be contacting you at the earliest.

Please note your Nodal Officer Escalation Docket Number 1-1093773689.

Thus, it seems that either this person doesn't care or this whole thing is just a small part of a major scam that is going on under the name of Tikona Digital Networks.

I have made innumerable calls to the Customer Care and every person whom I spoke to, insluding two supervisors (one of them being Mr. Sourav) seemed to be an expert in making false commitments. I called up the Mumbai office number (02267840126) but no one responded thus raising my doubts whether this office actually exists or not. Recently I have dispatched two letters, explaining the problem and also attaching the proof of the cheque being debited and the prinouts of the mails.

All in all, I am not sure whether I shall at all get my money refunded. But I urge the Consumer Court to do something about this massive scam that is going on. There are many customers, who have face similar or identical problems. Some of us take up the pains to bring this issue to light for the benefit of the rest of us.
I also plan to take this issue up to the Consumer's Court in Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi.

Default Harassment by Tikona broadband

Hello Friends ,

I had been using tikona wibro service since January'2010 (Connection number 1100252883). I have put the disconnection request on 12th of July 2010 as I was leaving from the rented house.but after contentiously following customer care team, they have suspended my connection on 18th sept 2010 .I have all the reference number given by their representative .
till the time of disconnection they didn't fellow up with me .No calls no emails anything.

Now they are continuously calling me to pay the charges and threatening me like this amount will go on increasing if you don't pay the bill.

Why should I pay the charges till 18th Sept as I put the disconnection request on 12th of July?

Below are the request number I got from the customer care representative.you can very well see how long I have been following to disconnect the service


Can you please guide me as how to proceed further.I am frustrated now .

Default No connection installed andStill awaiting for my refund even after more than 120 days

I had subscribed for a Tikona connection at my residence on 1st June 2010,even before installation there was no network at my place but the sales guy (Mr.Suraj) blufed me saying that there is network at my place and the connection will be installed in a day or two and took a cheque of Rs.500 drawn on icici bank(cheque no :514871),but when the engineer came to install he found no network at my place and no connection was installed.

Thereafter i requested for my refund and i was being told that i will get the same with in 45 days but now its more than120 days and i have not yet received any refund nor has any one contacted me from tikona.

I am calling the customer care every week and what i am getting is just an assurance (complain no.s :1-664935884 and 1- 738347818).


I have also escalated the issue to the issue to its nodal officer - mumbai Mr.vikas bhosle ( Escalation Docket Number 1-841117151 & 1-1105401960) but yet have not received any responce or revert from them.

Thumbs down Poor Ticona Service

Hello Friends,
I am Sachin From Mumbai
I am also one of you who is duped by TICONA. Ticona officer had promise me to give 512 kbps browsing speed and around 60 kbps download speed. But since i got the connection that is 11 nov 2010, I am getting the download speed of 8-10 kbps. I have called to customer care lot of time then. their engineer came to my place two time checked the connection and found poor speed and then mailed to his team leader Rohit.But this guy is not bothered to reply the mail.Then I wrote to nodal.mumbai@ticona.in but the mail got bounced.I am paying 600 per month, which I think not worth paying for such bad service.

Please tell me what to do further. can I registered the complaint to consumer court for poor service.

sir ,i want a cancellation connection .because not opening browing..a lot time called engineer.but not pick phone..not good behaviour.my application number 50000008924570,my user ID--1103683353 ,my complaint number...1-1792455192..and please immediately remove antina ..and please give me my deposit money...my mobile number ..9986346988..i hope return my deposit money ........!..and email id mukundkumar383@gmail.com..........!!!!!!!!!!!

i have got the connection for tikona wireless in the aug starting, till now its not activated , and new bill has come to us for payment, though its last of august we havnt use the services of tikona.
for payment tikona exe. comes very fast but later on for services their is no reponsibility.
its not a good feedback from the tikona .please see to the matter asap.

Default One of the worsttttttttt broadband service is TIKONA

They collected the money for installation.. they tried to install after following up them for a month. It didn't work out. They told that they will return the money after 30 working days but they didn't .. If I follow up with them they told that its already dispatched .. I have not received anything. Like this they are cheating most of the people.

Default Tierd of Running behind TIKONA to RESOLVE our problem

My name is Rahil Wavle and I have taken tikona connection for my office, I have lodged a complaint on 30th August complain number 1-1935868314 that our Adaptor/connector is not working and this can be replaced only by TIKONA I was assure by TIKONA call center that by problem will be resolved in 48 hours but today is 07th September and nobody came from their technical neither called to check what has happened.

Somehow i manage to get the mobile number of NODAL officer MR. VIKAS BHOSALE and since then am struggling to talk to him but it seems he is the most busiest person and he has no time to attend customers call and resolve our problem.keeping this in mind i sent him a text message with my complain number and user ID but NO USE....HE IS EITHER BUSY IN MEETING OR DRIVING ...i realy wish and pray that LOKPAL BILL should be in place ASAP, so that we can teach this people what is the meaning of customer service.

Now i dont know what to do??where to go ??? whom to contact?? PLEASE SOMEONE ADVISE ME AS WHAT TO DO....

Default Closure of the tikona account 1104108813

Hello,


I have the tikona account 1104108813. I had the disconnect request send on 12th Oct'11. At that time they (tikona customer care) told with in 7 days my account will be disconnected. But till today the account is not disconnected. I called almost 20 times after 12th oct and email about 5-6 times for the disconnection but no reply on email and on call they always tell me that will be done in few days. This is the worst service provider I have ever seen.

My complaint no list are given below.

Default harrashment in Closure of the Tikona account

Hello,


I have the tikona account 1104108813. I had the disconnect request send on 12th Oct'11. At that time they (tikona customer care) told with in 7 days my account will be disconnected.
