sir,i applied for a tata photon plus connection about 15 days ago.and i was given d modem after about 10 days ,but snce d beginning it said dat it was blocked.i dint know why,,but inspite of several complaints that i lodged,i was given nothing but some false assurances..i have already left the hope of the so called photon services.but i feel sad when i think of my 2400 rs.which i think i have ended up in vain..and finally when i failed to get any good response from them, i thot of approaching at consumer forum.my photon plus no.is 9207377803.hoping for something....dr.suraj banuary,assam,barpeta road

Hi,
I got Tata photon plus 3 days back on 27th Oct'10. It got activated on 29th Oct'10. I opted for Rs.1100, 10 GB unlimited plan, but when service was activated it shows plan of Rs.950, 5GB. I went to Tata Photon custumer care center on 30th Oct'10 and they say they CAN NOT change plan for current moth. I will have to wait for next mont. I requested this on the 2nd day of my activation still they cant do it. This is ridiculous. And more over the customer care center guys(FC road, PUNE) are not ready to accept that i requested for 10 gb plan. They were rude and were trying to show like it is my fault. They say my documents are still not scanned and not updated on the system, so I can't even see my form filled for 10 gb. So I had very bad experience with their customer care PUNE branch. I did not expect this. Totaly disappointed. -Samir |

Dear Sir,
I have just bought the Photon+ device a month ago and since then I have been calling customer care almost everyday for connectivity and slow speed. Its getting disconnected in every 15 minutes and speed is worse which is not even 150 KBPS. Customer care people have been telling me we are sending our technician today but nobody came so far and I did all settings as well in my computer on phone whatever they told me. Since one month I am calling and wasting my atleast 20 rs per day because of hold and all these things. Do you think the customer can continue use your services if the response will be like this. I am going to disconnect this service though my 2500 rupees have been wasted for the device but thats fine at least I can get rid of this frustration and all by getting some other Airtel or anyone else. There are lot of negative reviews on internet for your customer care service and all these problems which I mentioned here. I am looking forward for your assistance on this if you can resolve my problems. I have bought 2 devices - one for Delhi and another for Noida but none of them are working fine and facing these problems. My Tata number is - 9266615246 Thanks !!! |

Hi,
This is Siddhartha Chaudhury. I have taken the Photon+ connection on 2nd November 2010, at that particular date I have submitted my all details, including my email address and mobile no, after few days I have received a sms from their end that my tariff details has been send to my email address, which is wrong email address, so yet now I have not received any details about now connection in the mean while I am now facing a big problem, the connection speed is very poor, I have tried to connect to respectective person who has delivered this modem stick, but now he is not co-operating with me, its really bad from their end, first of all they do the marketing then when they hold the customer after that there is no response from your end. my tata photon no. is 9230541092 |

Tata and Relaince are frauds, i bought Tata Photon Plus and the salesman at the Surat Bhatar Road shop assured me that i will get 3.1 mbps if not then they will replace the device and give new one. It only gives 1 mbps and is shit costly the device itself costs 2.5k non refundable, now i want to break this piece of shit device but what a waste of 2.5k it would be. The customer service guy visited our office after complaint, he was so thankful that we did not bust his balls, he says that normally wherever he goes people yell and also beat him up. He was thankful that we spoke to him civilly. Basically he is hired to go to angry customers (all photon customers) and listen to them vent their anger. Then his job is to call his superior and put the angry customer on to phone to the superior who is tucked away in safety. The superior told us, like a ****ing doucebag lawyer, quite simple that they have advertised the service as "UPTO" 3.1 mbps, and that it doesn't mean we will always get 3.1 mbps. That mothe****er, the tone in which he said this made me want to rip his throat out. But that's why they send poor thin people to listen to angry customers while they sit comfortable in their cabins. ****ing bastards all Tata, Ratan Tata, Reliance, Ambani, they become billionaires by cheating people like this, this one example shows how they must be cheating and circumventing logical and ethical rules. The phone leaks by Radia just go to show how these ****ers bribe their way to higher profits at the cost of everyday Indians. They maintain such an air of dignity and build sky high mansions, in reality they are just a bunch of well dressed thugs who have no qualms about cheating people off their hard earned money. I hate Tata and i wish i had forgiven the bad service of BSNL when i went first to BSNL office to buy a USB internet device. Those idiots told us to come after lunch break and so we said **** this government shit, let's go buy Tata, even if more expensive at least we will be assured of good service and good internet speed. Look at teh service and look at the speed of the mother****ing tata bastards. ****ing choots they are i don't have enough bad words to curse those assholes. Finally they read the complaint here and called back and said that i can come and collect the Rs 100 they charged me for the "free" bag. But what about the Rs. 2500 that i have been charged for a device that gives no more than 1 mbps when they are advertising a speed of 3.1 mbps. According to their lawyer-like-fine-print stance they advertised it as "upto" 3.1 mbps, saying that it will not always give 3.1 mbps, but it should at least touch 3-3.1 mbps sometime right? It never goes beyond 1-1.4 mbps, so what'ts the meaning of writing upto 3.1 mbps. As if this cheating was not enough. Now they are repeatedly calling and trying to convince me that they assure speeds of only 256 kbps and that i should be thankful that i get 1mbps. Despite me telling the caller sternly 10 time he continued to repeat the line like a broken recorder "1 mbps is enough", not listening to what i was saying at all, what a bunch of machine fed morons. First they sell us short then they tell us that we have not got less, that we should in fact be thankful that we are getting more than 256 kbps. Wow. Haramiyon ka jawab nahi.

I made a complaint that my internet is not working and the complaint number is 246628375. I got the response that you complaint has been successfully resolved and closed by your team withour providing any resolution. I am not able to understand that How could you say that my problem is resolved when I am still facing same problem. please ask your engineer that whether he had resolved the issue or not?. He said that there is network problem and he will forward this to network team. He was infact not able to open any website when he visited my home. This is REALLY A VERY IRRESPONSIBLE behaviour. Per him the problem was users are more than the capacity of the bandwidth available with TATA indicom. If that is the case the why am I paying for broadband speed when I am getting a data card speed. My problem is not yet resolved. Please provide me the proper resolution. I am surprised that way your team responded on this. I hope you will assist me with the proper resolution. Regards, Vishal |

I am Narendra. I have a photon+ device(9266624390) at name of my brother(Dhirendra). it was come with my laptop(Acer Aspire 5740) when i bought this device , sellers executive told me that it was a unlimited plan of and the rental you need pay Rs.1500 every month but when i argued with him. He told me that no need to worry about plan ,you can change this plan via call to customer care and they will change bill plan according to your need. Before the starting month got expired i made a call to your customer care(1800-266-121) and requested to change this bill plan but they denied to change as per my need(Rs.950 bundle usage and will get rs 200 discount for starting 12 month from activation) . Executive did not change my bill plan and my services got barred due to cross my credit limit and i never approached them but suddenly after two day an executive called us and told that i am resuming your service and it starts working. I approached to tata photon+ customer care again to change my bill plan but they denied then i requested to cancel this photon+device services and packed the device , after four or fifth day i received a call from retention team i told them complete issue about closing this number. They assured me sir, that your plan will get changed but it will get applicable by some forwarding date. I agreed at that point but when i received my bill it was Rs.5000 and when i cross checked the plan details through customer care they told me sir, you plan migrated from Rs1500(Bundle usage to pay per usage plan of 950), but i opted for the Rs 950 (Bundle usage plan). Then i approached to customer care to sort out this issue many time but they did not revert tome. This is really unacceptable for any customer who have opted for some other plan and your executive had migrated him to as per his choice . This is completely ridiculous work which i never expected from such a well known brand "TATA TELESERVICE" , still the issue is remain the same as before it was. Due to that i am facing a lot new problem many recovery agents are coming to my home for collection. If this mistake happened from your executive ,why would i suffer for this.
