I have never used Pacenet but as far as I understand Pacenet supplies bandwidth to the local cable operator and the quality of service you get will only be as good as the equipment your cable operator has and his expertise in networking.

I have never used Pacenet but my understanding is that is a very small local player and their network is no match for the likes of Reliance, Airtel and Tataindicom.

Have you tried Tata Wimax? I have been using Tata Wimax for the last two years now at Uttam Nagar and never had any major problems and your place is not too far from here and Tata covers it as far as I know. Have a look at their tariffs especially the Flash plans where you get 1.5mbps at night and Sundays.

Also check out India Broadband Forum to see reviews of different ISP's in your area.

Just moved to mumbai, the building im living in Malad West, does not have Airtel, they only have Pacenet provided by Hrishi Cable.

I got a 2mbps connection and it took them 7 days to install, and then for three days I got 250 kps download and after that its stuck under a 100 kbps...

So I have been calling and tried everything after a week this guy comes and says its shared bandwidth - WTF - I said what does that mean? He is like this is it... Best we can do.

And I asked for a refund, the cable guy says talk to pacenet, the pacenet guy says talk to cable guy..


Dont really give a F&%^ about the money now, but they should not get business...

Anyway wish there was airtel here!!

I m Using Pacenet Wifi, Since 5 month, here i sno prob with speed & lost connection
in 512kbps unlimited plan is Downloading speed is 80 to 90kbps
so im setisfied & have no Problem

I have a Pacenet from the past year or two.. from Hrishi Cable.. earlier i had a 256 unlimited plan.. i used to get about 30kbps download speed.. i just recently shifted to the 512 unlimited plan and it sucks big time.. frequent disconnections.. all at times when you urgently need the net.. (>.<) any suggestions on better alternatives around here?
