Default Poor service of Reliance Netconnect

    Sir,

Pls find my previous complaint in the trailing mail, I made with Nodal officer . I also got acknowledgement from the nodal officer for the same. One officer called after few days and talked so rudely ( like a goon and seems he was threatening me) . He other than listening to my grivences he was threatening to disconnect the connection if I don’t pay the bill as they had prepared according to the previous plan. He seems not bothered when I told that If my grivences are not heard I will be forced to go to the consumer forum/ TRAI. Same day they closed my complaint at their end without reaching a agreed solution/ promise. It’s more than 3 weeks now, still I am waiting for a revised bill and being forced to write here.

Here I would ask the competent authority following questions:

    a) If I made a complaint on 10 th Nov, 2011 for very poor service and they proposed a new tariff plan as a solution , shouldn’t it be effective from the same day? Is it justified that it will be effective after one month?? In the meantime what consumer is supposed to do?? Should he wait for one month for the mercy of the service provider??
    b) According to my tariff plan I was paying Rs. 850/- per month for Limited data usage of 3GB. As I was not getting the proper service ( no signal at all, call drop, frequent disconnection, low speed, no service for hours and days) for almost one year, and reported the problem many times to the customer care without any solution, for what I am paying the rental for the post paid plan??
    c) Are they taking the rental per month only for the data transferred?? If this is so, then when they don’t charge less when data trasfered is less than 3 GB??
    d) Few years back I had bought 1X or low speed connection and paid Rs. 3000/- for the modem. After that when I Upgraded the service to Broadband + , again I had to pay rupees 2000/- for the new modem. But I was not getting broadband service for most of the time. Even the customer care ppl suggested to operate in Hybrid mode if broadband mode is not working. I want to ask, If I am not getting broadband speed ( actual speed is close to 1X speed), then why they are billing me for broadband tariff plan?? As I have already paid Rs. 5000/- in total towards modem charge.
    e) Are they threatening / forcing to pay the bill they have prepared , as they know If i want to switch to other service provider, My Rs. 5000/- will be wasted and again i have to pay a large amount to new service provider??
    f) The tariff plan was running for around two years, in the meantime technology has evolved a lot. 3G plans are available in the same monthly rental. Now why they are still charging according to 2 yrs old tariff plan?? Is it because I am a post paid customer???
    g) What about the financial losses I had incurred various occasions because of the poor service/ no service when I needed it the most?? Because In todays age We are very much dependent of internet service for various works.
    h) It is very much known to all that the service providers ‘s consumer base is much more than the actual capacity and because of the increased consumer base reliability has detoriated. Most of the time I contacted customer care they told that technical upgradation work is going on for months. What TRAI is doing to supervise the quality of service to the consumer??
    i) When I got frustrated with the poor service and contacted the customer care they offered a waiver of Rs. 250/-. It means they are acknowledging that there is problem at their end and they actually getting more and more complaints from consumers. Just to restrain them they are offering such Candys. Now my question is will they give waiver for prolonged duration?? By giving waiver is my problem/ bad network/ service become addressed?? No the problems persists and they keep billing every month.
    j) What about the mental agony , I am going through for months?? And my valuable time lost only to report poor service to the competent authority.
    k) If this is my experience in National capital ( south delhi), what will be the service in other part of the country??

Now I would request , that the service provider should not disconnect the service untill the issue is resolved to final conclusion.

    Kind attn: Mr. Anuj Bahuguna
    Nodal officer, Delhi Circle.
    Reliance Netconnect

This is to inform you that on dated 10.12.2011 I had called customer care number to complain about non availablity of Broadband service mode and frequent auto disconnection and low speed of internet service. It was a frustrating situation when you are doing some important work which has financial importance. Actually in last one year whenever I reported this type of problems , every time I got the same reply : " our engineers are working on some technical issues or some upgradation work is going on. Sorry for the inconveniance caused." My question is if your networks are not capable of handling so many consumers and if you are unable to provide service then what are you charging us every month. Your networks made me cry , when I need it most it become worst. Earlier I had 1X connection and i had upgraded it to braoad band + , but most of the time I need to work in Hybrid mode, problem on signals, auto disconnection, It is the condition at Capital city of Delhi ( more specifically south delhi ). Then what are you charging for every month.

On 10.12.2011 , when I reported the problem , the customer care executive told me as usual that for last few months work is going on to improve the network, so for the time being you can switch to one plan in which for first 3 months I need to pay 50 paisa/ MB only for the usage above 2 GB and there will be no rental charge ( service request no. 167564663). This may give you some sort of relaxation for the existing problem, which will take some more months to get resolved.
But when I got the bill 2 days back I was shocked to know that the bill has been prepared according my previous plan, which was not commited to me.

So finally I called again the customer care number talked first with Mr. Sailesh Tripathi, then he forwarded to Mr. Pratik Kumar ( Floor supervisor) . They told me that my new billing plan will be effective from 9th jan, 2012 and they are unable to help me and all they can do is to give a waiver of rupees 250. But my question is as I had reported the problem on 10.12.2011 , then why the new billing should not become effective from that very day . Why it took one month to get effected, as it was suggested as one of the solution to the existing problem. If there were some technical difficulties to make it effective from that day, why it was not communicated to me at that time.

Now I want to take necessary action to get my billing done according to the plan commited to me . Otherwise I'll be forced to withdraw myself from your customer list and if need arises I can go to the consumer forum/ TRAI as well.

Waiting for your reply and action.

    Default Reliance Broadband Order

    Hi,

On 6th of February 2012 one of your executive named Ashok Kumar sent another representative Santha Kumar to my residence and collected 1200 from me promising that he will provide me the Reliance Broadband connection by the very next day and the same will be activated within a day or two. He gave me an acknowledgement which was in the form with the CAF No - 17800031683505.

Right from the day on, I haven't heard back any thing from him and abusing me when I tried calling his number. Till date I haven't received Broadband connection and got a verification call on 10th February 2012 from 04430332048 at 7:30 pm, I really don't thing this call was from Reliance Broadband as 7:30 pm is not an appropriate time for any verification or marketing calls.

On 12th February 2012 I raised a complaint by calling the Reliance Customer Care 18003000777 at 10 am and been informed that will get a call back within 24 hours and again today 13th February 2012 morning at 10:30 am I raised another complaint by calling the same number and been informed the same regular statement as will be receiving a call within 24 hours. Not even received a single call regarding this till now and I don't know where my money is.

Sent a mail to broadband@relianceada.com on 13th February 2012 and got a response stating that will get a reply or call within 24 hours. Nothing yet.

Called in Nodal officer on 14th February 2012 with same similar statement. I'm now feeling cheated in the name of Reliance Broadband. Hope you will take care of this problem and do the needful at the earliest and resolve the matter.Thanking You in anticipation.

My contact information is already available in your data base. I have given my data card no. If you were really eager to take this issue you would have collected the same. I would further inform you , as expected my connection is being disconnected even after I made request with your Rcomappellateauthority. I requested not to disconnect my connection untill the issue is resolved. But this is your unprofessional business ethics and one sort of blackmailing.

But I would take it to other forum where i can get justice and I will never take any product / service from Reliance and would request everyone including my near ones to avaoid Reliance.

    Hi Bimal,

Can you please share your contact details as I am also facing similar type of issue with Reliance Broadband connection.

In my case, I had paid Rs. 500/- as installation cost. There was no connection given to me. Morover a fake bill was generated, for which I was being forced to pay that bill for the services I never availed on the verge of filing a suit in court by reliance legal department.

Immediately, after that I raised reqiest for service cancellation, which is still not process by reliance ever after giving the instruments received at the time of so called installation & now they are asking me pay again a sum of around 700/-.

After several mail at reliance chairman Email ID, I got a response today from reliance that Final bill is yet to be generated.

Please email me your contact details at below email ID (If you can share):
