I Want to lodge a complaint against Reliance Communication for not activating my reliance netconnect+ data card even after recharging it for sufficient amount, providing them with all the documents asked by them and also causing me mental harassment and inconvenience.
To start with, I purchased a reliance netconnect+ data card no: 9342939154 with RSN no: RHWCDB220002785 in December 2009 from Bangalore. I used it Bangalore for some time and later I shifted to Mumbai in April 2010. I activated roaming on above mentioned number and continued using it in Mumbai for quite some time. I recharged it on 07/09/2011 from vileparle branch after confirming the status of the number from the store operator. Only after confirmation from store operator that data card is active and is on my name, I recharged it for Rs. 3000/-. But when I tried to use it after recharging; I was not able to connect. I called up reliance helpline for help. Almost after an hour of diagnostics CSR told me that my device RSN is not matching with RSN updated in system and I need to visit any of the reliance web world. I visited santacruz reliance web world on 7th itself where they refused to help me saying that server is down. I again called up helpline and they suggested me to visit vasai web world. I went to vasai next day however they also refused to help me saying that they can’t update RSN no for outside state data card and I need to visit borivali web world.
I went to borlivali web world on 8th where they confirmed mismatch between device RSN and system RSN. They asked me to submit my ID proof and address proof which I did immediately. They said it will take 72 hours for data card to get activated. I waited till 12/9/2011 and when data card was still inactive I again called up helpline and again after explaining entire issue to CSR he asked me to visit vasai web world. But with my previous experience I called up vasai web world before visiting and they told me to visit borivali web world. At borivali reliance executive, Falgune and her senior Aarti told me that I can’t use my device on same number. I will get another number on this device but my balance from my previous number will not get transferred to new number. And if I want to use my balance of Rs. 3000/- I need to buy new data card worth of Rs. 999/-. Now both these conditions were not accepted to me so I called up helpline again where this time even they refused to help. So I called up reliance Mumbai nodal office where I spoke to Mr. Imran. After explaining entire issue he agreed to issue me a new data card without any additional charge. But after reaching web world, Falguni refused to do so. I again called up nodal office and insisted to speak to only Mr. Imran. But Mr Imran was busy with some other issue so I spoke to Mr. Sameer. Again explaining entire issue to Mr. Sameer he also agreed to issue me a new data card. And this time also web world executive refused to do so to which Mr. Sameer said he will escalate this issue with Bangalore team as well as with technical team and will get back to me within 48 hours.
But today, as on 16th still I have not received any call from reliance and still my data card is not functioning. Not only had this but as a part of argument borivali web world executive given such responses which are not at all acceptable to me as a customer. Here are few of them.
•I can’t give anything in writing.
•I can’t call up help line from here.
•Hot line from here is only for reliance mobile customer and not for data card customer.
•I can’t call up nodal from here.
•That is not my problem.
•Go and catch hold of the person who recharged your number.
•You don’t have any option.
•Either buy a new modem for Rs. 999/- or take new number and forget your old balance.
Now, I am so annoyed after this whole episode that I feel extremely cheated by Reliance; I have lost my precious time travelling to their various web worlds without any outcome. I have had business issues for not reaching my client over mail in time, precisely why I activated & charged my Data card for.
If at all there was an issue with the RSN no, why did the Reliance executive charge my Data card with Rs.3000/- this shows that I was deliberately cheated.
Can somebody tell me who will bear the losses that I have had to undergo for no good reason….? This definitely calls for some compensation; moreover because I was made to suffer for mistake which was not from my end. As a prepaid customer along with time I am losing my validity also. Now I need not only my recharge money to be refunded but also Rs. 10000/- as a compensation.
