I have a Sify Internet Connection and my user id is RANJANA_BHARTIA. For the past one month the internet is not working properly. Every night between 10pm to 2am the internet stops working and when I switch on the computer in the morning every thing is back to normal. On the 9th of November, I had made a complaint regarding this and was told that the problem will get solved within 12 working hours but that didn’t happen. I waited for a couple of days and the problem persisted. So I again made a complained for the same issue and this time I was told that the concerned team is monitoring your problem and will get back to you ASAP. That didn’t happen either. On the 15th of Nov I again complained and they told me that the concerned team will contact me. I got a call from the local sify people here in Guwahati and they came to my place. The person changed some settings and disabled my firewall of the antivirus and told me to check it again. But i was faced with the same problem that night as well. Next morning on 16th or 17th of Nov, I again called the customer care and scolded them for the poor service they were providing. They told me that they have escalated my complaint and the proper action will be taken asap. On 18th or 19th the person came to my place and changed the clip of the wire and told me that the problem has been solved. BUT no, it didn’t solve my problem.
This time I called the local sify people named Mriganka and I told him to solve the problem or else I have to make a compliaint again at the customer care. He told me that if you go through the customer care then the problem will take longer to solve. This was very irritating and got very angry.
On the 27th of Nov the person came to collect the subscription fees and he was the same person who has come to my place to change the clip. So I asked him about the problem and he told me that they haven’t identified the problem as yet.
Till date, I have made like 20-25 complaints regarding the same issue and also threatened them that I will have to go to the consumer court but still no solution. My problem is when I am paying for 24 hrs of internet for the entire month why should I have to use my TATA photon at night to do my work for which I am charged on a per minute basis. The people at the call centers have only one or two line which they repeat again and again. “Sir give us one more chance and we will make sure the problem is solved”, “Sir, I have escalated your problem and it will be solved as soon as possible”, “Sir our concerned team is working on your problem”. Etc. But all of them lied. If they hadn’t identified the problem in 20 days then why were they lying all this while.
This is not the way to treat a customer. I am paying the subscription and also am paying for the TATA Photon charges. ON top of that the mental harassment of not being able to complete my work is making me sick. I have incurred many losses due the delay in my work caused by this problem. Ok, they can rebate me free internet hours but how can they repay my lost clients?
I sincerely would like to get a solution and an assurance the this won’t happen again.
