I am jagadeesh and staying munnekolala. I have taken broadband connection on staurday from tata indicom. As I am staying munnekolala I am aware that most companies dont have feasibility to provide broadband internet connection as I enquired many people. So I put lot of precuation before applying for Broadband connection. I got in touch with sales executive name "Pragathi" and she started giving me details of location of their towers in munnekolala and nearby and assured me of No problem internet connection. I verified with her twice or thrice about feasibility. She assured me of good service and good connectivity.
She told me to pay 2103/- rupees by cheque toward tata indicom bradband service out of which Rs1000/- non refundable. I enquired with her that 1000/- will be lost even if any problem come in feasibility. She assured me that if any problem arises from their side she will refund the full amount back. So I gave the cheque on firday (11-jun-2010). On saturday(12-jun-2010) Installation people came and installed the broadband. After installation they struggled to get the proper connection. finally they managed to give me connection with test user id. I asked will it be the problem always they assured me it will be alright from today as they installation was done properly. They told me to wait for getting basic IP address for 5 minutes for which I accepted. Once the installation is over they told me you will be getting User id & password in a day or two. On the same day I got userid & password. So I tried to login at night time but not able to connect due to basic IP address not coming which generally starts with 10.xxx.xxx.xxx. I lost my patience and I shutdown my system. I called customer care immediately and they took complaint and assured me problem will be solved in 24 hrs. I called pragathi and informed her the same inturn she told me to contact the customer care. I replied saying I already did so, then she told me to wait for 24 hrs to get solve the problem. I waited for next day. I got call from customer care and asking about the problem which I explained to her. Customer care executive assured me of sending technical person the same day. Techincal guy did not turn that day. Technical guy (Raghu)came on monday (14-jun-2010). He checked the connection and told there is fluctutation in signal so getting connectin is difficult , and even after getting remaining go long will problem. He told he will escalte the problem to their seniors.
Again back to square one. In between I get calls from customer care whether the problem has been solved or not. My answer is NO. After fedup with 5 day finally I called pragathi and told disconnect my connection and repay my amount back. Now she started playing with me saying the refund part will be taken care by service department for which she is not responsible and she made con call with her manager ratheesh he also saying the same thing. I got really fed up with these people cheating attitude and adivse other in my area not to take broad band connection from tata indicom people. I want to know how I can teach a lesson from consumer forum.
