I contacted customer care executive to check on the process for disconnection of the service and he quoted me below options.

a.Write a mail to "customercare.karnataka@tatatel.co.in" to deactivate account and they will take 3 working days to close the account in that case I will be charged for 3 days
(OR)
b. we (customer care representative) can take this issue forward to close but it takes 7 working days to close the account in that case I will be charged for 6 days
(OR)
c. Go to any tata photon service center and place a request in letter form. It will be disconnected with immediate effect.

I chose to go with email option since i will not be able to visit Tata Photon service center personally and Option b would take 7 days thats too long.
I have sent an email to "customercare.karnataka@tatatel.co.in" on 13th December 2011 to deactivate or cancel the connection. On 14 December 2011 I contacted customer care to check on status of mail, the customer representative says that we didnt recieve any mail......This is really awkward. Earlier customer rep had informed me that I would get a response to email within 24 hours and now they are saying they havent received the mail at all.
I came across very similar complaint from Lipi Chandra on this forum and am wondering if they say the same thing that they havent received the mail to every customer who has raised a cancel request on email.
Please look into it asap and resolve the issue soon.
