    Red face Tata Photon Plus : Roll Over of Bill even without use.

    Hi,

    With reference to the phone number 9266165115, I am compelled to lodge a complaint. It’s been around a year I had stopped using the photon plus device for my internet usage (I am confident that there can’t be found any usage on the same post March 2011). As I was into some remote place for more than a month, during that time only I had called Tata Indicom Customer Care number requesting for the closure of my account. On the first call the representative agreed to initiate the same request (I regret for not having a reference no. of that interaction). Around a month later I got a call asking for the payment of next month’s bill. I told them that I had requested for the closure of my account, they didn’t respond to my concern and hung up the phone. They called me many times again and repeated the same. However, in the month of August I got a call from ‘Delhi Legal Services’ stating that there is a legal notice in my name. The calling person provided me a phone number of the concerned lawyer Mr. PK Sharma and suggested to resolve the issue with him only. Mr. PK Sharma told me that, in order to resolve the issue I should make the payment of whatever was outstanding and he would provide me an NOC regarding the same. I also didn’t want to go ahead with the chain of issues and agreed to what he suggested. I made the payment of Rs. 1871 online (Transaction Reference Number: MCIT1075498554, Transaction Date: 15-07-2011 13:51:43 hrs). I tried calling on the same number of Mr. PK Sharma several times, but he never responded to me back. As I had already taken his email ID (pk_sharma00737@yahoo.in), I sent all the details of online payment on hi mail, with the screenshot of transaction page. I sent him several reminder mails requesting for the NOC, but didn’t get any response back.

    A month later, I again received a bill with some amount outstanding. Then I reached the office of Tata Indicom in Nirman Vihar, New Delhi and communicated my concern over their. An employee, with the name Amit told me that my account is still not closed and will be closed only after I make the payment of remaining outstanding amount. I approached other fellows of him and all of them told me the same. With me, there was a question that if I haven’t done any usage, why I should pay (Although I had made the payment of Rs. 1871 of same kind)? I came back home with disappointment. I kept on receiving the bills on my mail in most of the consecutive months, but being helpless, I just avoided them. Two days back I again received a call from the same place (so called Delhi Legal Services), but a different person Mr. Vinay Sharma. He repeated the same script and scolded me for the amount of Rs.2224. Also gave me another number of Adv Prashant Kohli (). I called up Prashant and tried to let him know what had happened with last time when I received such call. He didn’t care for what all I said and kept on repeating to make the payment. Finally I told him that my lawyer will talk to you and just let him know all that you are telling me. He hung up the phone. Meanwhile I called my friend who is a lawyer and told to call him. After having communicated with Prahant Kohli, he got to know that these guys have opened an office in Greater Kailash part I, and they are just trying to make collection attempt.
    Now, this intimation is not only for final closure of my account but also for a genuine hearing of all my mental harassment. If this was really from the part of Tata Indicom, I request here for the refund of payment amount of Rs. 1871 first. I’ll also claim a sum of Rs.10,000 against all the mental sufferings caused to me during past one year.

    Please provide me with a proper justification and resolution. I might have to knock the door of court if I don’t get a proper hearing and the account is not closed.
