    Thumbs down Tata Photon - A real headache.

    I had taken this Photon Advance Rental Plan in 2010 (number is 92305 33058) and I had asked for disconnection of the plan after its expiry, but it was renewed by them in May2011 automatically and raised an invoice of Rs 5,500 for 2 GB.My connection was stopped from the company's end even before the end of the initial 1 year i.e ending on June 2011. I went on contacting all concerned person and had to run round trees and explain the problem to at least 20 people in the company without any benefit.

    I then started mailing to customer care followed by all the people they told me to but met with no success till date. I was told that as the connection was mistakenly renewed from their end there is no way that the connection can be discontinued and i will have to continue using it. On this i requested a plan change to a 3GB plan for Rs. 5184 (as i need to be a real dumb vegetable to take a 2 GB plan for 5500). This change was promised to me.
    However, I again received an invoice which for Rs.13.5K in July and it ironically mentioned the amount of 4200 as addition to the earlier amount of 5500 and penalties were also charged.

    I received number of phone calls (even on holidays and week ends) asking for payment of 13K which is illogical and the person on the other side argued that I had to pay. To quote one person who called on a Sunday morning (7 am) - "Sir, this is the policy of the company and you will have to pay the amount. You are not able to understand anything. Please try and understand if you make a plan change over then also you have to pay for both the plans fully. Why don’t you understand". A lady at Park Street says "Sir usko aap pay kar dijiye aapke paas koi rasta nahi hai...aur naya plan le lijiye......sirf 1800 lagega and 825 per month lagega" and when I was about to leave she murmured "pata nahi kahaan kahaan se aa jate hain......plan lena nahi hai jo chahiye fokat main chahiye".

    I requested the nodal officer of Kolkata and all other officers by mail to look into the matter as I was really tired of running after photon personnel as if that was the only work left on earth. I had wasted hell lot of time, energy and money chasing Tata Tele services. I paid 4200 and 2300 usage charges.

    But this was not all, my connection was stopped and I was not able to use it however the usage charges did not stop. It went on like rocket. Then some, Mr. Pranish from Tata promised me that I should write him mails and he would settle the amount and I will not have to pay anything. I did the same and thought that atleast the pain is over, forget about the money that was gone. But they are still not satisfied, their thirst is still not met, they have again started sending me bills of 9K. and the best part is that they are charging me usage charges every month on a connection which they have disconnected.

    I can just say that irritated and frustrated will be an understatement of my condition created by this company's personnel. I am really not sorry to say that this company is only interested in charging customers and not solving their problems.

    Can anybody tell me whats the difference from a thief.......I am having difficulty in understanding.

    Please somebody tell me how to file a case against Tata Tele Services.
