I had purchased Tata Photon connection in Aug 2010. So far I was getting proper service.
Since January there has been issue with speed on connection. I had opted for Photon Plus Unlimited 5gb @ 950. Acorrding this plan I would get 3.1mbps speed till initial 5gb data usage then speed will be capped to average of 155kbps. I agreed to plan since it gives me average of 155kbps speed for rest of the billing cycle which was acceptable @ Rs.950/- per month. However from 8th Jan 2012 I started getting speed lower then 30kbps and also received mail stating my speed was reduced to 32kbps. When complained about same to Tata care team, their reasoning was shocking. According to them they have introduced changes in plan which applies further capping of speed if data usage crosses 8gb to average speed of 32kbps since Nov 2011. If there is any changes done to plan subscribed there should be some intimation to customers about new changes. Till now Photon Plus plan is advertised on their website with no such condition mentioned that states after initial 5gb data usage there will be again capping of speed at 8gb data usage.
What is the use of advertising Photon plus Unlimited plan if you cannot deliver same to consumer as it is shown ?
I subscribed for plan which gives average of 155kbps speed with unlimited data usage then how can they introduce further capping on speed which is against the plan advertised and given to me.
I have received good speed for only first 5 days on my billing cycle and rest of the moth speed was worst and keeps on disconnecting. Current average speed received is 25kbps.
For which I will have to pay 950/- this month, apart from that losses to my work is more.
Currently issue is still open under reference number 295248651.
Hope i get some relief thru consumer court forum because I wish to pursue this issue further for losses caused to me.
