Sub: Complaint against Vodafone

Respected Sir,

We bought a Vodafone Broadband (High speed 3G data card - Model No.: K4505-USB) connection on 14th June, 2011 in the name of Asia Pragati Capfin Pvt. Ltd, Mobile no. 9999253916, Relationship no. 1.38195207 from Connect India Mobile Technologies Private Limited, Connaught Place, for Rs. 4000/- . At the time of purchase and as per the plan, the speed of Internet should’ve been up to 21.1 Mbps (approximately 7 Mbps during peak hours), which, on usage turned out to be around 1-2 Mbps which is not acceptable. We had our SIM Card checked at the Vodafone store and still no respite, however their test SIM card was giving excellent speed (up to 7.1 Mbps). We had numerous interactions with the customer service and technical help desk, but all in vain. They closed our complaints without any solution and intimation. We are dissatisfied with the connection, moreover with the false commitment at the time of purchase. We even asked for replacement or refund but they haven’t agreed to do so.

They only keep sending us reminders regarding the payment of the bill, when we have specifically informed them that once the speed issue was resolved, we wouldn’t hesitate to make the payment. We would only pay the bill once the Vodafone would abide by their commitment or provide us with the solution. We have tried pleading our case with TRAI as well but to no avail.

The dissatisfaction with the service provider and TRAI has forced us to seek help from the Consumer Court. Looking forward to a just resolution.
Thanking you
