    Default HCL Desktop

    I have purchased a brand new desktop computer on 29 May 2009 from M/s Peripheral Solutions(P) Ltd, 401, Sahyog Building, 58 Nehru Place, New Delhi-110019 (Ph. No. 26460352). During March-April 2010 the machine started giving trouble. First, I reported the the matter to the supplier who is cooperative enough to send an engineer at my home. The engineer finds some hardware problem and did nothing but suggested me to lodge a complaint with the HCL since the machine is under warranty period. And I lodged a complaint on 20.4.2009. On 21.4.2009 an engineer from HCL came and changed its RAM.
    But the computer was still giving trouble to load soft ware and he, the engineer, realizes that its HDD has become defective. I urged for its solution and after constant poking the HDD was changed.
    Again the computer was not OK and they engineer said its Mother Board has got some defects and the system was taken away from my residence which I received back on 7 May 2010. I was elated for at least I got back the box, even as a junk one. HCL now says there is no hardware problem and they loaded Windows XP for which he charged Rs.300/-( since, as they say – no warranty for software). But still the problem persists. The problem is that the computer goes blank or no signal or no display in the midst of working. It reboots and displays a message box of recovery from dangerous problem. And it repeats.
    Again I report the matter, to HCL on 8 June 2010( Complaint No. 086100236). Nobody attends even after 48 hours. Finally on 14 June 2010( i.e. after 6 days), one engineer (Mr. Kartik) turned up on 14 June 2010, claims there is no hardware problem and loaded software for which he charged Rs.500/-(with receipt). In the evening, I started working on my computer with somewhat relaxed mind. But, again the same problem I face…
    I feel it disgusting- a problem is persisting for 3 months and a so called branded company is unable to fix? Besides, I have taken MTNL broad band and because of my defective computer I am paying huge bills without enjoying any internet.
    Again I am trying to get hold of the HCL man –but in vain
    My point is that why my computer cannot be okeyed. After repeated complaints engineers are coming and going – but it seems they lack knowledge damnably and keep no coordination of hardware and software problems.
    Can I be helped?

    last month (Aug) I’ve purchased HCL desktop and I am facing some technical issues with that. After I complained to hcl about this they said this product is not registered with them and they advice me to send invoice and warranty copy. so i sent all the copy to them and after that till now i am chasing them and there is nobody from their company who can bother to call me. this is the service i received from such a big band name HCL. i am never going to advice anybody to buy anything from HCL.
