Dear Team,

This is to bring your kind attention towards a goof up by Apple. I was using their Apple Mac Book which was under warranty period. I have just got to know that their is common problem of Apple in-build adapter point of getting idle frequently. Also, the adapter which i was using was made of such a bad material, which normally gets heated in every 20-25 minutes time. Slowly & Slowly the insulated wire started to melt down, and finally one day the insulated wire (metallic wire) got exposed. When i visited their service center (AVTech Digital, Sec 18 Noida), they looked at the adapter and straight away said it's a physical damage.

Initially they said you have to buy a new adapter. We had long debate session on this and then finally the store manager asked me to speak to directly to Apple customer care in Bangalore. They said if they will approve, we will replace it. (Note - They have not even given me the customer care number.). Finally i spoke to some one their, he then forwarded the same call to some one in USA (this is what i got to know from Bangalore Team). I had explained him the situation and then he said we will register this as adapter not working and had given me a complaint number. He said it will be updated in system soon in 15-20 min times. I waited for such time and then checked again with this technical team of AVTech. They did some thing to this adapter and then said its now working, they have to check with Apple team and then they will replace the adapter.

I rechecked this adapter with other Macbook & it was not again not working. Now they again checked and said that they have to check the port and it will take another 4-5 working days. I deposited the laptop and waited for their call, It was supposed to be their call to make me aware of the status. They not even bothered to do so, i called them multiple times, which went in vain. Finally i found their alternative number through google searches. They said come and check your laptop.

So the situation is now they have changed the port BUT they have not changed/repaired the issue of adapter.

This was so frustrating and annoying. Also, i would not recommend any one to buy Apple products specially Laptops. Once you will visit this service center you will see most of guys hanging around for same issues with port and adapters as per my information.
