Dear Sir/Madam,
I want to bring your attention to the fact that I have purchased apple macbook pro on 25 May 2010 from "IMAGINE" store - Inorbit Mall - Mumbai. It was working fine in starting 2 months, after which the motherboard of the laptop crashed & it became totally unusable due to which lot of my work was also hampered.
I made a request at that time itself for a new replacement as crashing of motherboard in the beginning cannot be tolerated and accepted, though company provided 1 year limited warranty. The laptop was finally repaired and my plea for replacement was rejected.
Again after using laptop for 1 month, it has started countering again with numerous problems as follows :
1. Display Flickering
2. In-built mic not working
3. System & adapter getting too overheated in just 10-15 min time.
I have asked IMAGINE store to replace the laptop as it was purely a defective manufactured unit which was providing numerous problems. They were unable to take any decision as they had no authority for the same (As told by staff of IMAGINE store).
I finally contacted consumer relations at Apple for providing me a solution and replace the laptop but in vain.
They are of the opinion that under limited warranty, the laptop will only get repaired and no sort of any replacement or compensation can be awarded for loss of my mental peace and work opportunities.
They also had a say that they don't give a DAMN EVEN IF I CONTACT CONSUMER COURT/ CONSUMER FORUM for redressal of my problems.
My final last resort is now this judiciary system where I hope to get my problem resolved.
My laptop is still lying with them since a week which is causing lot of problems at my work whether being my presentations, projects, stock market opportunities and etc etc.
I hope the court would help me by taking some serious action against APPLE company.
