I had purchesed a toshiba satellite pro L510 laptop but after complaining its given functions are not working blue tooth , card reader , wifi, graphics card

My laptop was purchased on Jan 21 for my birthday, which is always Jan 21. I activated it this year, 2010. In Dec 2010 I called in to ask about the web cam and was told I would be charged $35. I was toold this was because my warranty expired on Dec 21 of the same year I purchased it. This is less than one year and very unprofessional. How could a warranty expire in less than one year? I never saw the computer until my husband and I picked it out on Jan 21. The manager would not over ride the warranty date and Toshiba would not help me with my web cam. How about that for customer support?
