Default Dell Complaint

Dear Sir,

We have bought Dell Vostro AVN 1520N-W7-B LAPTOP with Carry Case, SR.No.NNBS4BS / 5PBS4BS from Lym Computers Pvt.Ltd. vide their Invoice No. LYM/2009-2010/T-06969 dt. 06.03.2010, copy enclosed. On 6th August, 2010, late in the evening our employee Ms. Sangeeta Pinto, Jt. Chief Accountant using the Laptop has noticed that the Laptop is getting booted again and again. Due to Saturday, Sunday, the complaint could not be lodged. However, on Monday, 9th August, 2010 our Sr. System Supervisor, Mr. Khalid Kazi gave the complaint on your Toll Free No. 1800-425-4026. The complaint was registered vide no. 4964132 and some Engineer called up to our Sr. System Supervisor over the phone and took some information about the problem from him. It is so much wonderful that over the phone your Engineer diagnosed that there is a hard disc problem and he has indented hard disc for the Laptop from Bangalore vide complaint registration no. 780503907523 on Monday itself i.e. 9th August, 2010.

Till 13th August, 2010 we did not heard anything from your service centre or from your Bangalore Office. Left with no other alternative, on Friday 13th August, 2010 at around 11.30 a.m. our Mr. Khalid Kazi again contacted on your Toll Fee No. and after big discussion, he could not solve the problem and therefore, he gave me the line for further talk. I spoke to Mr. Kabir, who was on the line and we have explained him in detail what is the importance of a Laptop in an Organization. He assured that he will be doing the needful. However, when the undersigned insisted to confirm, he transfer the call to your Technical Support Escalation Dept, some lady came on line and when I insisted for confirming the status as to when my Laptop will be repaired she got Mr. Piyush on a conference line from Bombay and Mr. Piyush confirmed that our hard disc has been dispatched from Bangalore on 9th August, 2010. However, due to some logistic problem, the same has not reached to us. I also told Mr. Piyush that the telephone number of Bombay given to us i.e. 022-32466771 is continuously busy and it is not possible to contact on that number, he promptly given another number i.e. 022 22908147 which was also equally impossible to get. However, he was good enough to give us the number of your Logestic Company g.com. I spoke to Mr. Rajesh on g.com at around 12.15 on 13th August 2010 who was very much prompt to advise me that the person is leaving with our hard disc from Andheri, Mumbai and he will reach within 2 hours. He also advised me to confirm the same after half an hour. Accordingly, I contacted g. com again. Unfortunately, instead of Mr. Rajesh, Mr. Shakti took up the call who also has confirmed that your hard disc has already been left and would definitely reach you by 4.00 p.m. Getting such an assurance, I called up Mr. Piyush on the number given by him for Bombay. Unfortunately, Mr. Piyush was not available and one Ms. Sangeeta came on line who was rude enough to tell me that there is no hard disc dispatched from Bangalore and nothing can be done for your Laptop. When I asked her, shall I throw it, she coolly replied yes I can do it. Till Friday evening nothing has happened. On Monday 16th August, 2010, once again Mr. Khalid Kazi from our office contacted on your Bombay phone no. 022-22908147 and Mr. Piyush came on line and advised me that he will come back to him within half an hour with the status of hard disc. Since there was no return call from Mr. Piyush after two hours, Mr. Khalid again called him and the nasty reply he got is “his phone is under repair and Mr. Piyush cannot be contacted.”

These are the facts which can be checked from the call recording machines at your call centre since whenever we call, the first message comes that this call may be recorded for quality purpose. Therefore, all the above facts can be checked from the recording.

The question is such an international company is giving such kind of service whereby for 12 days the Laptop cannot be repaired. Further, there is no assurance that anything will be done. It is, therefore, requested to return our money and take the Laptop back as we are not interested in such a company who could not provide the service for last 10 days. Recently we have bought about 60 nos. of Dell pc’s from M/s. ITV Computers Pvt.Ltd. for our Club but certainly we are putting up Dell’s name in Black list. With a copy of this letter we are writing to all the Parent Companies of Dell Computers in England and Scotland and also to the Consumer Court in India and Consumer Grievances Forum for getting the justice about such an ill treatment from such a Multi National Company. We are also sending our complaint to International Consumer Rights Protection Council for seeking help since Dell is being a Multi National Company. Infact, it is not money that matters but it is the reputation of Dell Computers. This is the first time we have recommended our organization to buy Dell products, Unfortunately, it is a bitter experience that even we will not recommend your name to any friends, relatives or any other organization who will ask us.

Default Dell salesmanship at a nadir

This is in reference to my Order No. 840093186, Customer Code 781902461 booked online on 11.8.2010 for 15” Dell Inspiron Laptop.
At the time of quotation I was committed that the delivery would be made in 7-8 working days which made me firm up my mind for placing the final order. But to my utter surprise, the order has not yet been delivered and Dell customer care has conveyed today on 23.8.10, that the estimated delivery date is likely to be as far as 31.8.10!!! This is a complete breach of confidence and against the ethics of salesmanship in a consumer driven laptop market.
Not only Dell has failed to keep the deadlines, but my calls on cell or voice messages on the landline of Dell Inside Sales Account Manager are greeted with an offensive caller tone always pronouncing “the called person eating tender coconut at beach and vowing to break my bones” which is against all accepted norms of professional etiquette.
This is a case of complete lack of professionalism and after sales service of Dell!!!!!

Default cd drive is not dictating any cd

i am muhammed junaiz from Bangalore .l. i brought a insprion 1440 lap befor 1 year ago .now my cd drive is not working properly , cd tray is opening but cds are not dictating . what happen to my cd drive.

Please don't purchase Dell Laptop , my own experience : my Laptop just 1year 6/7 months old suddenly not turning on , I called dell customer support center they are saying mother board to be replaced and it will cost 15-19 thousand and old mother board will be taken by Dell I am surprised almost 50% of total laptop cost I need to pay to Dell this is Dell Business Strategy. I don't know what to do now with my Laptop.

I have the same problem and they advised me to replace the motherboard. The service representative said 22 thousand with warranty else it will cost me 16 thousand. My laptop is just 17 months old with usage of just 1 hour a day. I told them that they were shameless to make such demands and i wont pay them one paisa more. Anway were you able to solve the problem in any other manner?

Angry Dell complaint

my lcd screen of dell studio laptop went wrong in 9th month of purchase,,,they replaced it but the second lcd they installed have got same problem now again...but my warranty has expired and they are not entertaining correctly about this issue...the second lcd worked correctly for only 5 months .....so somebody help me out of this ,,,,my mail id is sharan.w99@gmail.com...thank u

Default Poor service after sales

My arround 18 months old inspiron laptop started swtiching off sudanly while working.Dell customer care first asked me to take warranty otherwise dell will not repair laptop. I am feeling cheated.
Very unfortunate to see that a company like Dell can blackmail their customer just to sell their warranty.
Instead of helping and guiding me for which customer care are supposed to be their they are giving wrong information because my collegues have told me that there are dell service centres in lajpat nagar and Noida which do not ask for any such warranties to repair the product.

Dear Sekhar,
Immediately file a Complaint with your nearest Consumer Court. Sue the DELL since they are playing fraud in INDIA which theyr can not dare to do in any other Country.
I had also faced the same problem with DELL and I am filing a case in the Consumer COURT.

Arrow problem in disk writer head

this is saurav gupta purchased dell laptop of 1545 inspiron version with service tag no=2NPT4BS on 17 march 2010 has started showing anwanted opernational problems .in this disk head is not working .in this diskette is unable to read the DVD and CD disks produces noises

Exclamation DELL IS CHEATING Costumer

Plz dont purchase dell system as the system doesnt work for even a month, and when u call them they say there is problem with parts so they want us to change it.They send us the refurnished part that doesnt work for week.I personally have changed more than 5 motherboards in 5 weeks and still my system is with the company and they again wanted to change the motherboard. So i request not to purchase dell they are big time cheaters..

Its been 3 months since I purchased an alienware m11x. Its lid's hinges gave up around 20 days ago. I sent it to the care center and they are telling me that I will have to pay around 15 thousand for it. Why should I pay when it is under warranty? And they said that the hinges cannot break on their own. So would I do that to my own laptop on purpose? Total bullshit. Hope this complaint does the needed justice.

Default Dell laptop LCD panel is geeting damaged frequently

Hi,

I am probably one of the dissatisfied customers for Dell but unfortunately I am dissatified within 6 month of purchase.

From the time I purchased the Dell Laptop around October 2010 I am having issues continuosly. Pls find the problems I faced given below

1. My new laptop had some hardware issues as identified by Dell technician after running hardware tests and the laptop was replaced within a week from the purchase
2. After I got a new unit I used to have wireless issues (disconnecting from Modem frequently) but it got solved automatically within two days
3. Then my Web Cam stopped working in 2nd month
4. There is absolutely nothing I did but my laptop screen developed a crack automaticall and I had to replace it by paying around S$350 for no fault of mine since its not covered under warranty
5. The tech who came to replace the LCD panel helped to repair the webcam but it stopped working within three days
6. Most dissatifying thing is I was charged S$150 as labour charge for replacement of LCD screen which is S$200. But If I would have replaced the same when engineer came to my place to diagnise it would have been free, I dont understand why such clauses. The support I purchased when I bought my laptop looked meaningless (Labour support included as part of it)
7. Within two months the new LCD screen developed a crack again, again absolutely nothing done from my end. The laptop was not even closed this time and all happened within 30 mins from the last shutdown and no user intervention between this duration.
8. Again I was informed to pay I need to get the LCD panel replaced. I requested the Dell technician to check my laptop since its getting overheated normally and this issue is repeating. The laptop was never dropped or nothing hit the LCD panel, without any user intervention the Panel develops a crack and I am sure this would be repeated if I continue to replace the panel. I dont want to check with a outside technician since Dell clearly told that if the laptop is opened by outside tech, the warranty will be void.

The Dell technician is not even ready to ****yse the problem since for him the LCD panel issue is out of warranty but for me I had used laptops for more than 10 yrs now and also using multiple laptops at home but this is the only laptop which is developing crack Hence I am sure that the unit is faulty moreover its getting overheated compared to my other laptops but the Dell techs are not even offering to ****yse the issue and only eager to charge me more for replacing the part.

I am totally frustated and annoyed at this behavior, for no fault of mine I am penalised and already payed S$350 for a new laptop (6 months old) and again had to pay another S$350 to replace it. At the replacement cost I can get a new laptop, not sure why Dell is not able to understand my problem?

This is my worst experience with any laptops I have worked with (IBM, HP, Dell & Toshiba), I only went for Dell since I thought its a very good brand and offer good Technical support but this experience of mine is totally upsetting. I will never ever return to Dell or will never suggest Dell to anyone else.I lost faith in Dell and have got a new HP laptop now.

If Dell could ever understand a customer concern and willing to solve their problem, pls look into my Dell Laptop to ****yse what the real issue is.

Today I lodge a case in delhi consumer court coz my new dell laptop is not working properly and dell support center is harassing me..

Hello Sir,
I would like to lodge a complaint against Dell laptop model Inspiron 5110 which i purchased on 29th dec 2011 from Balaji computer located at Muzaffarpr, Bihar.
This is to bring to notice about the multiple hardware faliure which occured in this laptop wi...thin 30 days of purchasing. The first problem which i faced was with motherboard of this laptop which stopped working after 3 days of purchase. Being in warranty period,after that I face problem with my touch pad engineer from Dell Service center sent a part of touch pad and changed that after that my laptop bottom base is broken internally they told its manufacturing fault then he send bottom base of my laptop and changed that part.but the problem occured along with Wi-fi, Bluetooth and USB port not working. Now I don’t wana complain again to dell support I want my laptop replacement .
Due to my utter shock and disappointment , I request Consumer Court to look into this issue as it is clear that the laptop had manufacturing defect right from the beginning. I have all three documents of my changed part…
Sir, with all hopes lost now, I request you to look into this matter and help me out of my agony. I bought the laptop for 34800 rupees and now just after 30 days The tax invoice number for purchasing this laptop is 5797 and service tag of my laptop is B7FCVQ1..
