Angry Dell Customer care - worst experience

I bought a new Dell Inspiron 5010 laptop. when i wanted to set it up, i read the manual and it said pg.12, Inser SIM (Optional). it had a picture and i did the same to access Internet thro 3G service. The moment I inserted it, sim went in and in and to my shock I found that it is just a slot and no corresponding h/w was there. I agree I did not not know and I never ordered for such functionality, but only since it was said in setup guide I did it. I am still in initial waranty period (Just one week of purchace)

Now i called Dell customer care and here is how the conversation went on..

Me: Hello... explained the probelm completely.

Customer Care lady (CCL): It is because that you have used AIRTEL card and if you have used BSNL, it wouldn;t have gone in.

Me: (What a bullshit), SIM cards are made of same size irrespective of the service provider and your answer is not right. I want the sim out of laptop and can you send a engineer.

CCL: Yeah we can send and you have to pay 1300 RS for it.

ME: (What??) why? what i did is not my mistake and I cant pay for it.

CCL: No sir we cannot do anything.

Me: Then call your manager...

She handed it over to a guy... (I am not sure if he is the manager) anyway let me call him CCM (Customer Care manager)

Me: Explained everything to him again..

CCM: It is your mistake and we cannot do anything for this.

Me: How come it is my mistake, you gave a open slot, you gave me the setup guide explaining how to do it. Now you blame me as my mistake?

CCM: It is been designed of global users, it is how it will be. If you dont know what you have in your laptop, then it is your mistake.

It went on at one point, he said, "Why dont you accept your mistake"

Me: Yes i do agree that, its my mistake, with out knowing, i did it. Accept your mistake also, it is a design flaw of your system and documentation.

CCM: Okie i agree its my mistake.

Me: Well now pay for it. Get the sim out of it.

CCM: I cant do it. Who asked you to buy the laptop?

Me: Then why the hell you sell Laptops?

CCM: We cant rectify it. Do what so ever you want.

Me: If you cant do anything for your mistake, I am going leagal.

CCM: Be My Guest! cuts the line.

Thumbs down Dell- worst cutomer service experience

Dell must b ashamed of their technical flaw while designing their inspiron laptops, dey gve the reason that d sim slot is not designed for the indian customer, then why the helll they are selling lapi's to indian customer..i put my sim into slot given , as per user guide book suggest...nd surprisingly, the sim just slip into the laptop...nd when connected dell to recover this, they said its nt possible to recover sim...nd ask me stupid ques, dat who told u use dis service...!!...really worst typ of atti shown bt dell customer care...!! dey also picked my call after 45 min continously trying...is dis wt dey called service nd have charged from us already.
