I had purchased a 2yr complete-cover extended warrranty on 19th June 2010 paying Rs. 11,200 for the same. The reference Number for the credit card transaction was 74568220170. Till today (18th Oct, 2011) the warranty has not been updated by Dell.
So whenever I call them for any services they tell me that my laptop is out-of-warranty and any service will require charges. So when I ask them to update the warranty status they ask me for all the details of the transaction but never do anything with that. I have wasted at least 10hrs on various days speaking to several people from several departments (Sales, Warranty, Technical) but nothing has been done. Sometimes they even put the call on hold indefinitely and I need to call back after waiting for 30 minutes.
So I want the warranty to be activated immediately for the next 2 years from the day of activation. And I need my required laptop servicing to be done immediately and also demand compensation for the harassment and loss of work caused to me due to this issue over the period of last 15 months.
I hereby inform all prospective buyers to refrain from buying Dell because of such poor customer service and harassment meted out by them.
