    Angry dell inspiron 1525 laptop

    i have purchased a new battery for my laptop dell inspiron 1525 last year.it is still in warranty period.but its back up is reduced to only 15-20 minutes.i have called dell repeatedly but they are making many types of excuses.in the end they are saying they will not replace my battery.i am totally shocked.what is the use of warranty if they will not replace or repair it.i am totally frustated with dell service quality.i think i have made a huge mistake by buying dell laptop.

    Default Warranty Extenson Paid but issue not getting resolved

    Hi,

    I have a dell laptop (Inspiron 15R). There is a problem with the motherboard of the same.
    And my laptop was out of warranty.
    Service Tag Number of my laptop is 3VP57BS
    I called Dell customer care last saturday (21st January 2012) from where i was connected to Mr Gautam Sharma(Gautam_Sharma1@DELL.com), who gave me two options.
    Option 1: was for 8K which includer one year warranty.
    Option 2: was for 16500 which includes the motherborad replacement for the existing issue and one year complete cover (which includes accidental damage).

    Then Mr Gautam said that i will give you a discount of 6500 hunderd and you can avail the option 2 for 10K. I agreed to that and i made the payment then and there on phone itself.
    The quote number for my confirmation of order is "25676831".
    On monday morning (23rd Jan), i called Dell again to check when was the technician coming to replace my motherboard. I spoke to Miss Sneha Arora (arora_sneha@dell.com), who said that Mr Gautam cant give you this much discount and we will escalate it. Then she spoke to her manager. Then those people called me and now they are giving me two options:
    Option 1: Pay remaining amount with a discount of Rs 2000.
    Option 2: we will refund you your amount in 25-30 days.

    I want to know that why was i told that this thing would be done for the price of 10K. I never made the payment all bymyself. It was with the help of Mr Gautam that i made the payment. If i have made the payment then why am i not getting my services. Why is there a confusion within the same comapnies emploees. And if there is confusion, why do i have to pay more for their confusion. Or why do i have to wait for my amount for 25-30 days.
    If i was offred services for 10K, then i should get those services. I have made as per what they said. So i want the services for the same.

    Default Highly Unsatisfied

    Hi,
    I am highly unsatisfed with your technical guidance. I was told that the small speaker distortion sound was due to the motherboard issue.
    Due to which i purchased the one year complete cover.
    Now after 8 working days and two visits from a technician and after a replacement of motherboard and speaker, i am told that we need to check by replacing another part(dotterboard) MAY solve the problem.
    My laptop is opened again and again due to which the power cable has gone lose. ( this is the statement by a technician himself).
    If you cannot detect the solution to the problem and replace the parts one by one and open my lappy again and again, it will not only decrease the performance but also the resale value. And moreover its wasting my time.
    You can check the record, this problem occured during the 1st year of my purchase. But i didnt ask for lapp replacement coz i trusted MY DELL at that time.
    But now after one year and two months i am sorry to say but am highly unsatisfiedand i demand for the lappy replacement.
    By providing such kind of services, you have made me change my attitude towards DELL, and forcing me not suggest other people to opt DELL, unlike early.

    CAN I please get an update on my mail? This is really not appreciable. You should take your customer to priority. I posted my problem two days back. And still I haven’t received any response.

    Kindly take this matter seriously or I will take further action.
