Dear consumer court,
My HP laptop Battery get discharge in a very quick succession of time, the problem occur since last 2 month but now it’s terrible to work with this battery because it’s giving very less battery backup. During working on heavy software like oracle laptop lose it battery in just 30 minutes. Otherwise it gives appr. 1hour that is 60-65 minutes backup. When battery was new it has given 3 h 30 minutes battery backup. I don’t know why HP is declining to replace this battery. Whenever I check the battery condition it never shows an ‘OK’ condition since last two month but when battery was good condition it has always shows an ‘ok’ condition after battery check. After battery check a dialog box appeared on screen -if the battery status is showing calibrate, you’ll need to complete the setup for calibration. If the battery is not calibrated in second time it may need to be replaced. As HP costumer care executive told me to calibrate the battery 3 times and I have done it for 8 times but result remains same there is no improvement in battery backup. Today I am getting one third of original battery backup but still HP don’t want to change the battery.
My laptop warranty is still one month left it will expire on 12th of March 2012 but still they are not taking any interest in this case. I have told the HP costumer care if any how they show the battery condition ‘OK’ in my laptop in the dialog box instead of calibrate your battery written on the screen. But they have simply told me if it is giving 60 minutes battery backup we can’t change ur battery. When I told them the same statement written on dialog box appeared on screen -If the battery is not calibrated in second time it may need to be replaced, contact HP care. They are not responding at all and close my case regarding battery change issue and mailed me your case is close without any reason. See the details below they have mailed me after closure of case-
