Hello!
I had brought a new HP Pavilion DV-6-3043 Tx laptop on August 3, 2010 from HP WORLD, K. C. ELECTRONICS, B-29/216/1, Kochar Market, Opposite Sharma Sweets, Ludhiana- 141001. India.
But after few days of purchase, I started to face issues with the operating system (Windows 7 Home Premium) that came pre-installed on my laptop. This issue was sorted out by the local HP service center (RT Outsourcing Ltd.) here in Ludhiana. But to my surprise my system was functioning very slow after the re-installation of the windows by the service center's engineer. But they told me that it is not an issue, that is fine. I took them at their word and started using the laptop again. Soon, again the laptop started to prompt errors messages for which I gave it to the HP service center. The next day they informed me that it is the issue with the hard drive and they have ordered for a new one and within 3 working days they will receive the new part and replace the same for me. I agreed to their terms and when they had called me I submitted my laptop for replacing the hard drive. Again the next day when I went to collect the same I was surprised to find that my 640 GB hard drive was now showing only to be something around 202 GB. I brought it to their notice and they told that they will order one more new hard drive and within 4 working days they will replace the existing one. Still when I went to replace the hard drive, this time also the same error was found for which their engineer told that it is some technical fault with the system. So they borrowed some more time from me to rectify the error for which it is still not rectified.
Now my laptop is at the service center and still now I'm waiting for them to give me a call. Each time in a day as I call them they are bargaining for time stating; one more day, we have ordered for your part and so on.
Today I had a talk with the HP helpline service at Delhi to which I was confirmed that twice they had send the 640 GB hard drive to the RT Outsourcing Ltd., at Ludhiana.
I feel I have been cheated with this new faulty laptop for which I demand a new brand laptop or else to refund me back the entire amount of cash for the laptop as paid at the time of purchase.
Consumers are the king of the market as cited from Gandhiji's words; now I feel that the king is just a slave who is at the mercy of the local service center associates and HP delegates who have manufactured such faulty laptops.
I need justice for this case.
My Case Reference Number- 4618946212
Laptop's Serial Number- CNF0 163GH0.
