Smile Sony sells E series model with faulty hard disk

bought a SONY VAIO laptop model:VPCEB24 EN/BI on 17/07/10 from Nehru palace,Delhi.Hard disk read problem occurred on 5/08/10 unexpectly.I discussed with customer care on that day only.He told me to submit the laptop on serice centre for checking.I submitted the laptop at Ghaziabad sony service centre on 7/08/10.They are not responding to my querry. They do not pick the phone which contact number given in job order.When i met them in Sony centre; they told me that my hard disk has been crashed & is to be replaced. They do not able repair it till now. I already lost my 100 GB personal data & having so many mental tensions for repairing it.

It seems Sony sells Low quality laptop in order to capture Indian market with competitive market price. I want to replace my laptop with new one. If any body has the same problem , then let me know in my e-mail .

Default Sony sold Faulty Vaio E Series which continues to hang even after repair

I bought sony vaio EA 23 on 2nd of Aug from Laptech Solutions Pune. It was really disappointing to see it getting hung the very next day while it was shutting down. I waited for half an hour for it to shut down on its own, when it didn't I had to manually do it forcefully. The next time I started it, it again got stuck while booting. I had to again forcefully shut it down after 15 mins of waiting. When I restarted the next time, it asked for system repair as it did not turn on properly. I allowed the repair mechanism to try its luck. It did repair it and the system booted fine. I explored it further and shut down successfully. Next day I rebooted and again it hung. This time I knew there is definitely something wrong with the machine. I tried the safe mode, complete system scan could not finish in safe mode as well it hung there too. I was forced to use the Assist button. Did the tests and had to recover the whole system. I could not only recover the C drive as It threw a message saying the size of C drive is too small. After this it worked fine for a few hours. But MCAfee ceased to work. I tried to Fix it, it didn't, update the definitions, it didn't. Full system scan also didn't work. So I had no option than to try some other Anti Virus. I installed Avast. and uninstalled McAfee. For uninstallation to complete it asked for reboot. when I did that again it hung while shutting down. Then again while booting. Again I had to recover the system. It worked fine for 3 4 hours while I was re installing my softwares. Then all of a sudden it was again stuck and hung. I don't see an end to this happening intermittently.

I was left with no other option than to go and visit the Sony Service Center They took one week to replace the hard disk which according to them was faulty. I got it back today and again I used it only for 2 hours to install some softwares and again the same problem continues. It is still hanging. I would never recommend E23 to any of my Colleagues or Office Staff to issue this machine.

I have already dropped mail to sonyindia.care@ap.sony.com on 15th for which I have not got any response until today. I have been calling the customer care. They tell me that my case is being looked upon by Mumbai Office and they will respond to me by mail or call. They haven't done that until now.

My machine details are as follows:

Model No. VPCEA23EN/W
Serial No. 7001810

I want to replace this machine. Can anyone come to my rescue?

same problem is happening with me...sony sells laptop with duplicate parts in order to survive indian laptop market with comparative prices.all most all laptops of Sony Vaio has the same hard disk read problem withing use of 15 days.We must go for replacement of laptop from sony & experience of Sony centre is most bad .do not belief the sony service centre & thier services.you must talk with higher management for better service.If they are not responding ,then go for consumer court.i already complain my issue with Delhi consumer court.
