I have taken SONY VAIO VPC-EB 24 EN/BI (in evening) having the serial no. 7004107 from Rourkela, Orissa, India. On the same day (at night) I found one of the USB port is not working. I informed my dealer (next evening), he assured me it is a hardware problem and the service centre people make it correct. On the same day (at night), when I was using it the operating system got crashed. Again I informed to my dealer on the next day and he took the responsibility to make it correct from the Sony Service Centre situated at Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India.
My point is if there is a manufacturing malfunction why I would not get a replacement?

I would like to share my worst experience with sony. I also purchased Vaio T 27 model from nehru place authorized sony showroom, when it was new. I used it very rarly & carefully as it was 1,24,000 rs at that time. after one yr. one month suddenly disply had gone. i went to lajapatnagar sony servicing center , he kept for 2/3 days & told me it will cost 49,000rs for mother board as its motherboard has gone. I went to sony main servicing center on NOIDA road/okhla. they quoted 42,000/rs . again i got trnsfer to pune went to authorized center the quote was also same. & worst thing was my warranty period was over before one month & i was not aware of extended warranty.

I want to ask one thing is it the quality sony gives custimes charging such a high range? & after 4/5 yrs also charge is same evenif it is outdated model.. i strongly feel motherboard had replaced when i had given my laptop in lajpatnagar authorised servicing center.

I recommend everybody DONT GO FOR SONY EVER THEY ARE CHEATER & SERVICE IS WORST & PRICES ARE VERY HIGH. & the answer they have given her is same for evrybody . i had knocked the door of there every dep. as it was not possible for me to purchase motherboard . & If they are launching such ahigh range series why there is problem in major part of mother board?

I bought a Sony Vaio laptop (VPCEB24EN) from Supreme, Chadni Chowk, Kolkata on 3rd August and on 5th hard disk drive got crashed. I took it to the nearest service centre at Golpark, Kolkata. After 15 day they replaced it. But thevery next day OS got crashed. Again I went there. Now I am having serious problem with the speakers.
My question is that the set is totally faulty adn its due to manufacturer, then why should the set is not replaced????
