One of my friends gifted me an 8 Gb HP pen drive which she had ordered on Flipkart.com. It was delivered at her address on 12th November, 2011. The order number for the pen drive was OD11111000006. It worked fine for a month, but on the 30th day after its delivery, it stopped working. It does not get recognized by any computer. I checked this on a number of computers, and finally called the customer care for Flipkart on 15th December. However, the executive on the other end of the line offered no replacement stating that they only have a 30-day replacement guarantee, even though it is clearly stated on the packing of the pen drive that it comes with a 2-year warranty.
The pen drive does not bear any signs of mishandling and is in perfect condition. There was no reason for it to stop working except that I received a defective piece which Flipkart refuses to replace. Therefore, I've had to post this complaint here.
