I am using a MTS data Card since 4 months. Data Card number 9133060211.
I had recharged the data card with Rs.798 on 2 Dec 2011. It gives a speed of 3.1mbps for first 6 GB and then 144 KBPS unlimited. It has a validity of 1 month.
On 20 dec 2011, the first 6 GB finished and hence the speed slowed down. I called the customer care and informed them that the speed has slowed down and I want higher speed.
They suggested another recharge of Rs.999 immediately to improve the speed. I immediately recharged the card with the same amount. However, the speed didn't increase.
I called the customer care for clarification, and they first lied that recharge is not done properly, then they said that there is technical issue on their side. When I again called , they said that new package cannot be updated.
Upon threatening to take this case to consumer court, they finally informed truth after 3 days that this package cannot be updated until the old package expires.
I wish to bring to your notice the following points:
1. Customer care representatives are to provide information to buyers, who should we rely upon if they give wrong information.
2. They kept on prolonging the issue and giving wrong information and only after threatening they told the truth.
3. They are simply buying time until the old pack expires, but why tell lies?
4. They were very rude first time when I called to inform them that there could be a mistake from their side as I have done the recharge successfully.
Please advise.
