I, Reshu Gupta. a resident of New Delhi, bought an MTS Data Card from a retail Outlet named Park Network Pvt Ltd situated in Great India Place, Noida. The purchase was made on 17th Aug,'2011. The data card got activated within 24 hours but two days after the day of purchase the data card stopped working. The retailer refused to provide any help and gave me the address of the service centre. I spared time from my busy schedule to take the data card to a service centre in Lajpat Nagar. The people there were not of much help either and made me sit there for more than 2 hrs! When I refused to budge from there without a working device, they agreed to repair the 2 day new device and gave it back to me after another two days.
I used the data card for some days and then had to leave the city for work purpose and was travelling for the past 20 days. On returning, when I tried to recharge the device, I was told that it had been disconnected. The MTS office guys told me that I had missed the verification call and therefore my connection has permanently been disconnected and that buying a new fdevice was the only option.
My concern is that if a person is in travelling mode and could not take the call, should the company not have a policy of getting a re-verification done instead of telling a customer that throwing away the device and buying a new one is his only option!! A data card is bought to increase convenience, but this MTS data card has been a trouble ever since I have bought it and I am extremely dissatisfied with the company's customer complaint handling and policies. It will only result in unhappy customers who spread bad word of mouth about the company and its products!!
