I am very disappointed and frustrated because of my experience with Seadate Hard Drive.
I bought the Hard drive from local computer shop in Chandigarh on 18th May,2009. Within an year it failed. I checked Seagate website for warranty and it was covered till April, 2012. However Seagate local authorized centre ( ACCEL FRONTLINE SERVICES LIMITED) refused replacement saying that Hard drive is not a VALID INDIA hard drive and refered me to contact Seagate Singapore Office. I called them and even they refused to give an approval for replacement. They said this Hard drive was sold in Dubai and cannot be replaced in India. They refered me to local store and to add to all my frustrationeven local vendor refused and said only Seagate can give replacement. What should i do?
Is it my fault that i bought the hdd from india when it actually belongs to Dubai.
