Exclamation Seagate service centre complaint

Sir

i purchased a hard disk with warranty upto 2014, now it is not working

when spoken to seagate service centre, they
are fooling me by saying that
the hard disk is manufactured very long back once told 2000) and once told 2005. When i told them that i purchased it just 7-8 months back,
they told me that it comes only with one year warranty and that too is expired. Again they are trying to rob me by saying that i should take the hard disk to them and they will repair my hard disk and charge money for that.
I got this conversation with their service centre no. 022-40999899 recorded on my mobile. The rep of the service centre as named by himself mr. Prashant has totally refused to undertake waranty for my hard disk.

My hard disk is seagate baracuda 7200.12

Hi,

Could you be more specific ? when did you buy the HDD (the date), do you have the original invoice (bill), have you checked the seagate site for warranty ?

Please provide the above details for a proper reply !

Usually they'll not talk like that but still sometimes it can happen, Once you give all the details we'll be in a better position to talk !

Try and also post the data here (like scanned copy of the Invoice,screenshot of the online warranty status,finally the pic of the drive itself)

Default HDD Replecement

Dear Sir,
My Harddisk is Under Warrenty , I had Submmite our Hard Disk on 04.03.2010 Hard Disk is Return Back to me But Problem is Same after one Week i will Submited our Hard Disk once Again , Seagate is Replece the Hard Disk But Problem is Same .
Please helpme out what i wiil Do ?

I don't think this qualifies as a consumer complaint !! coz they did replace and if its not working perhaps it has something to do with your PC (if you know check the mobo settings and such) !

Also when you say problem is same,what is that problem to begin with ?? again you are giving any details here,so its very hard for Us to assume things and reply !

Please be very clear bout the nature of the complaint and such ! post as much as details as you can so that it helps us identify the problem and suggest a suitable solution !!

Default Seagate hard disk

Dear Sir,

I have purchased a 250 Gb Seagate Hard Disk (TIN No.: 07420209664; Batch no.-104) on 12.10.2009 from

Computer Empire (104, Meghdoot Building, Nehru Place, New Delhi). Within 2 months there was problem

in hard disk that computer could not detect it, and lot of data was lost. I have given it for servicing to service

center and it was replaced within a week by the end of February 2010. Initially it was working, but again the

same problem persisted and now the condition is that it can not be recognized in any computer. Once

again lot of data was lost. I can't understand why it is happening again as it was kept with utmost care to

avoid any jerk. The same problem was found with my other friends who have puschased the Seagate hard

disk. Please help me out from this problem as my lot of research data was lost which is unaceeptable.

Please find out the solid solution to this problem, so that this may not rerepeat again and again. Can you

replace the hard disk with new one, so that it may not have the same problem again and again. Kindly reply

me on my e-mail id shrutitrivedi_bhu@rediffmail.com. Although it is in warranty period, not

even one year is completed after pusrchase of hard disk. Please take necessary action regarding this

problem.

Default Seagate Hardisk Fraud

Hi,

I hope you are doing good..

I have been cheated by Urotech Computers located in Rohini Delhi who has provided me non warranty hard drive. When I purchased it from them in the month of December 2008 they told me that it has 5 years warranty and made a bill for that too. Now the hard drive is not working. I took it to the Seagate service center and they told me that it is not valid india drive ( means fake product ). Then I took the hard drive to Urotech Computers and they assured me that they will get the replacement. Now the Urotech is saying that the dealer has gone from where they had purchased the hard drive. When I argued with them regarding this they said that we have not got any hard drive from you. After that I told them that I have recorded all the conversation which proves that you have taken hard drive from me and then they said to wait for 10 days to do something...

In this situation what should I do?

Unhappy hard disk complaint

hi,
i have brought a hard disk of seagate on 9.7.2010 but now its not working i have show it to a engineer he said its a hard disk problem so plz replace it as soon as possible my hard disk detail is its seagate BARRACUDA 7200.10

I have also been cheated by Cost to Cost, Nehru Place, New Delhi. Purchased 500 GB Seagate Harddisk on 4th Dec 2008 with 5 years warranty Invoice No E-RI-4766. I had check with seagate online and it was under warranty till 2013.

My HDD went faulty and send to Segate Chennai for replacement and later i got email saying that "NOT VALID INDIA DRIVE" and to get it collected back on my own cost.

Either Cost to Cost is selling fake products OR ACCEL FRONTLINE(Seagate) is doing some fraud.

Exclamation Complain Regarding Computer Hardware Under Warentee

Dear Sir,

I have purchased a 250 Gb Seagate Hard Disk (Model No. ST3250310AS Part No. 9EU132-300 Drive

Serial No. 6RY00QEJ) from Computer Empire (104, Meghdoot Building, Nehru Place, New Delhi).

Which is in Warranty till 2013.

in hard disk that computer could not detect it, and lot of data was lost. I have given it for servicing to service

I submitted for Replacement at seagate Service Centre. But they was not accepting Hard drive with out Polybag which is given by Seagate at the time of purchasing. when i purchase harddrive any where not written that we need to be carefull and keep this polybag for further references.

Why they not accepting the harddrive without polybag. at last i have to purchase second hand polybag and given to service centre after they accept that. is that right way to do with customers ?

should i go for counsumer court for this.

I am using Seagate Hard disk and have 5 years warranty also, But now have some problem with hard disk. So i need to give for servicing in Seagate servicing center's but could not found the official servicing centers inmumbai. Please help me to find the Seagate

Angry seagate service centre complaint

good evening sir...im a officer in navy...i buyed seagate hard disc of one tb from taiwan,n suddenly it stop working,i stay i lucknow..i went to lucknow service centre they accepted my hard disc n after a week said to me that my hard disc cannot be replaced by a new one because its purchased outside india..specification of hard disk is as follows:

Seagate Part Number - 9KV2ML-575
Warranty Status - Expiration 25-Aug-2015
now the address of lucknow ( uttar pradesh) service centre is as follows-

sir one question if the drive purchased from outside cant be insured in india then why we put service centre and we then stop purchasing from outsude india.if i wont be helped here.i'll contact main office in united states of america.

Default Replacement of hard disk under warranty not done

Myself abhishek mewada and after buying seagate hard disc it is now not working so i went Accel care center, nehru place and give my hard disc on 27.08.2011 and they said it need to be replaced but till date i have not received replace hard disc. every time i call to customer care they says that it will take more 1 week.

So, please help me to in getting replacement disc.

Angry Poor Product and Service from Seagate(ACCEL)

I purchassed Seagate Barracuda 500GB Hard disk before 8 months. My hard drive failed after 2 months from the date of purchase. I took it to Accel which is providing service for Seagate. I had to wait for half day for submitting the hard drive. After a week i got a replacement but it was an used hard drive. I installed it on my computer but that one also failed. my computer was unable to detect the hard drive. Next day i took it to Accel and informed them about the problem. They too checked on their system and said that it is not working. I waited for half day again to submit that too. After 2 weeks i got another replacement, this time it worked for a week and stopped working. Again i took it to Accel and they wanted me to wait for almost 15 days in order to get new hard drive. I changed my motherboar and processor to core i3 assuming that there might be an issue with my computer. I got a replacement after 15 days. I asked them to check the hard drive and issue it, they said that it is a new hard drive and not to worry. It worked for 3 days and stopped working. My new computer was unable to detect the hard drive and it was making click noise which happened for all the replacements. Again i took it to Accel and spoke with manager, now they are making me come to their office every now and then but not issuing any replacement. I have already purchased a new WD hard drive and it is working fine with my system. I have spent almost 2300 for hard drive but i have spent 5000 in order to get it serviced, since i have to get leave from work in order to submit and collect my hard drive. Its a crap service by Accel. I have also tried contacting the head office but nobody is ready to hand over this case to higher officials. Seagate must warn these third party service providers in order to provide a good service to customers. Nobody is taking responsibility and nobody cares what customer issue. I dont know what to do. My hard drive is stuck in service center and they are not ready to issue a replacement. Please help.
