Hi,
This is to inform you that the local shopkeepers in Bangalore City charges more that the print price. I have been taking milk packets of half litre every day and they charge more money from the print rate which ranges from Re 1 to Rs.2. Initially i thought it is the problem in a particular shop but later I found out that this is the practice in every shop in Bangalore city. Same is the case with Curd. Very often I buy Nandini Curd from other retail shop. Its charging Rs.1.50 more from the printed rate. For instance today(20.11.2011) I bought 100ml of Nandini Curd from a Shop named Mayura in Byrasandra in Jayanagar, Bangalore. The print rate given as Rs.6.50 (Inclusive of all taxes), but the shop keeper charged me Rs.8. When I inquired about charging more from the printed rate, the reply I got from the concerned shopkeeper was - "This is the rate in my shop, you take it or leave it.".
I want to take legal action against the shops like Madura who charges more from the print rate. Kindly advice how to go about it and moreover can we really book them for over charging. Would be awaiting for a concrete reply on the course of action to be taken against such irate shopkeepers.
Regards
Amit Mazumdar
