    Default Complaint against Max Hospital Noida

    14th Nov, 2010 - Around 6:30 AM in the morning, I felt very giddy and fell in the bathroom. My front tooth broke and it started bleeding continously from my

    mouth. The tooth had come out from the root.

    In this condition, myself and my husband went to Max hospital , Sector 18, Noida.

    We went to the emergency. The assistant staff woke up the doctor on duty. Doctor checked and asked the Nurse to provide me with some ice-cubes - however, the

    Nurse replied that there were no ice cubes in the freezer!!

    Following this, the doctor told me to rinse with a solution so that the bleeding stops and then asked us to wait till the dental specialist comes in - which

    he said should be around 8:00 - 8:30 AM.

    We waited there patiently till 9:00 AM, but all in vain.... The doctor did not turn up. We then requested the front desk people to contact the doctor and

    cross check. But we were shocked to hear that the receptionist said- that she is not allowed to contact the doctor!!

    She said that the only option we have is to patiently wait!! While all the time I was continously bleeding!!

    We wnet back to the emergency room and made further hue & cry. Listening to our pleads, the emergency doctor finally contacted the dental specialist over the

    phone. The next shock to us - we were informed that the dental specialist cannot turn up before 10:00 A.M.!!

    By now, we had completely ran out of patience and lost all trust in the Max Hospital - which we had earlier always relied on and were a faithful customer of

    theirs.

    Finally, we left a written complaint there and went to another dentist - she informed us about three things which brought out further shock and negligence on

    part of Max hospital staff:
    a. That this injury actually deserve to be treated by an oral surgeon.
    b. That the tooth that had come out could have got fixed very easily had it got suitable attention with-in 30 min- one hour!!
    c. That atleast the tooth should have been kept soaked in milk so that it emains free of infection!!

    None of the above were told/taken care by Max's emergency staff!!

    Till date , we are completely shocked and helpless regarding the matter!!

    Kindly advise if there is any further suitable action that can be taken in this regard because the last thing that we want is to have anyone else face a

    similar situation!!

    Talking Wrong information

    i just read your post.
    I am also a doctor...and i dont think a broken tooth can be reattached...and keeping it soaked in milk is bullscrap.....second doctor you visited must be a quack...
    Though i do agree that you should have been attended early..

    Default Sharks in Medical fraternity

    I lost my mother in 5th Aug,2010 due to medical procedures adopted at Max Super Speciality, Saket.
    My mother , age 57 years, was the patient of Brain tumor. She had undergone operation, radiation (IMRT) and chemo in 2008. She had recurrence on March,2010. Our neurosurgeon,doctor Dr. Rana Patir, was earlier at Sir Ganga Ram. He shifted to Max Saket. As he was fully conversant with the case, So, we also have to follow him at Max, Saket.
    On recurrence of brain tumor of my mother, he advised to consult Oncologist, Mr. A K Anand, Rad onco at Max. Dr. Anand advised Radiosurgery at Max, though she had undergone radiation once and said that the procedure is very precise and latest , available only in Max , Saket in Delhi , and it takes only sitting of 10-15 min for 5 days, in place of usual Radiation which takes about 1 month. He also assured that she will be OK and tumor size will reduce after the treatment and have minimum effects, though the treatment was costly , amounting to Rs. 2 lacs.
    We relied on Dr. Anand , and went for Radiosurgery (SRS). Before Radiosurgery, my mother was as normal as a healthy person, though she had brain tumor, She could walk, talk and do all household chores like any body else. She would come MAX for Radiosurgery without any body support on OPD basis and get her Radiation there for 5 days in April,2010.
    After 15-20 days of radiation, she began experiencing seizures and losing control on right side of body.Gradually, she she was having difficulty in walking , as her right limbs were losing control. She was admitted in MAX Saket in May,10. Dr. Anand told that this is due to the swelling in the brain caused by radiation and will last for 1-2 weeks. but her problems was increasing. After 20-25 days, she was not able to even sit without any support. She was requiring others help for lifting,standing, moving, walking, getting fed etc.
    Her condition got deteriorated such that she has to admitted 3 times after the radiation before she left us forever on 5th Aug, 2010.
    I have seen her die in front of my eyes, it was not a sudden departure, but a slow and painful departure. I could see her condition deteriorating day by day for 3 months.
    We feel that she died due to the medical complication caused by radiation in her brain , rather than the tumor. Also, we came to know later that 2nd time radiation is not preferred. A rad onco must tell us before doing it that this may cause such condition. But we were not told about such consequence. Had we been told , we would not have gone for 2nd time radiation, but would have preferred operation.
    But that would have the MAX less profitable. I suppose , the money involved was also behind the decision Dr Anand has taken.
    I want to know, whether I can go to any consumer forum for the redressal in this case. I am also writing here, so that the doctor should not take anybody for granted and the patient and caregivers should be knowing about all the consequences of medical procedures.

    Unhappy worst Medical experience I ever had

    I Had been refered by my doctor to MAX for my wife .The Admission was quite smooth they have charged allmost 100000/- for a Seserian opration which is even higher than Appolo And Fortees .I had Insurence policy and I paid rest of the amount and at last I had beed discharged saying one test is left out for baby you can come later of it was some test for hearing power.
    I had cunsulted renowned child specilist she said where is the babay report.I had handed over the reports to her she said there is no report for baby you shall do blud group test & TSH and one more test and she said Just go to MAX they must have done this .for forgot to handover.I approched MAX and I have been told that there i no test has been done for your baby.I surprised and asked doctor a old lady accompnied by nurse that you didno even did blod group test for baby which i think is a basic test .she said upfront we have not done any test for baby.I asked that meand you dont even know how is the helth of baby ??? she siad No.I said great do you know the patent blood group again reply No.I said fine for what you have taken blood for baby she said show me where it is written and Finally I said thank you for your bullsheet services.
    Pls Note the delivery was supposed to be normal,I was forced for Seserian,I was not informed that baby has not been checkedup,No test Reports charges @ 1 Lack for Rubish service.I will request you that if you love your family and baby dont ever go to MAX NOIDA Sec-18 NOIDA

    Angry Complents against Ticket Booking Agent Ganai

    Dear Sir/Maam

    Main aapke madhyam se Uttrakhand Pariwahan Nigam ka dhyan ek problem ki taraf dilana chahta hu.
    Jise ki main hi nahi jane kitne log face karte hain or paresaan hote hain.

    Sir Mr. Kishore Mehra (booking agent) Ganai, Chaukhutia ki manmani etni badh gai hai ki wo nigam ko apni virasat samjhne lage hain. Koi bhi ticket book karne ke liye jata hai to use kah dete hain ki ek hafte ki booking chal rahi hai. Ek hafte se pahle ticket nahi milegi. Jabki unke apne log or kuch amount extra dekar ticket hamesa available rahti hai. Agar ticket book bhi ho jay to bhi 10/- per ticket extra dene ke bad bhi raat ko sardi ho ya garmi gadi ke bahar sona padta hai subah conductor se ticket lene ke liye. Chahe aapka gaon kitni hi dur kyun na ho aur gadi bhale hi aapke gaon se hokar jati ho. Kayde se jab hamari ticket book ho chuki hai to hume apne gaon ke stop se bithana chahiye Lekin nahi yaha aap book hone ke bad bhi apne najdiki stop se nahi baith sakte esa karne par aapko apne pure ticket ka amount khona pad sakta hai.

    Main janna chahta hun ki kya ye uchit hai. Ye janta ki suvidha ke liye hai ya asuvidha ke liye. Jab tak booking agent nahi the us samay ye samasya etni nahi thi lekin aaj esa lagta hai ki ye bus booking agent ke niji fayde ke liye hi chalai gai hai.

    Ummed hai ki es problem ki taraf jarur dhyan diya jayega.

    Angry Complain Against Jhangir Hospital Pune

    Hi Sir/Mam,

    My Name is Rakesh and i live in pune, i was suffering from fever and one of the Doctors from clinic said you have typhoid, it was just a initial stage, he said i might have to get admitted. I have Vipul insurance mediclaim, when i visited Jhangir Hospital doctor saw my report and said you dont have to get admitted, this can be taken care at home since its not typhoid yet. But while talking i told him that i have mediclaim as soon as he heard this they told me you will have to get admitted for 24 hrs at-least to look into the matter, they admitted me and did unnecessary test like X-ray, blood test, sonography and many other things they didn't tell me anything about the same and charges because i didn't have money , i would have visited Sasson Hospital if there is a charge, they kept on doing unnecessary test and didn't even tell me the charges, every doctor who use to visit me he used to ask me whether i have insurance, i said yes so they told me he will do more test ....i dont understand why do they have to do number of test for fever, the final report they gave me according to that i have centric fever. I need an explanation from them why do they have to do blood test when i already gave them the report of blood test done at the different hospital a day before. This hospital is just doing business, they don't respect people, they just want to earn money, at the end my insurance got rejected saying fever is not covered. When i took admission i told the doctors i dont have money but i have mediclaim will this be covered. Doctor asked me to speak with the insurance advisors sitting at the reception, i spoke to them they said "yes it will be covered, dont worry and take admission. Thats why i took admission in that hospital, when the insurance got rejected they asked me to pay 18000 Rs just for 36 hrs .....this is really fraud. When i spoke to the Dr regarding my bill he refused me saying that they are not insurance agent they are Jhangir hospital`s employee and no one will assure you whether it will be covered or not except your insurance agent, i told him that i am a patient and may not have mroe information about the same, i was advised by the person sitting at the reception that it will be covered he didn't advice me to contact insurance agent to check whether it is covered, they are cheating people..Instead of that they wanted me to stay there for more 5 days without any reason. I want to file a case against this Hospital, because i belive they are doing the same with other people as well , i just remember one of the doctors name, his name is Dr Deshpande.... i want to get my money back. Please suggest me what to do ..... I would really appreciate if i can get a callback.
