This is a matter of great concern that in India, the hospitals are no more comfortable place for patients to go. All the hospitals are having crooked people , who with their sweet faces tell u that they are with u but actually they are just money crunching machines. Like others, i would have remained quiet as now my husband is discharged from the Hospital. But this is a matter of great concern that when a patient is admitted to the Hospital, he doesn't know whom he should trust becoz in medical terms he is totally a lay person, who will believe the Doctor as he says. I must say in UK & USA Doctors even in dream can't think about cheating their patients, becoz the govt. laws are very strict regarding this. In my case the Cardio head Mr CHOPRA was very nice to us when we met him for 1st time when my husband was admitted for regular chest pain. It was our 1st visit to Moolchand Hospital which is near to Defence Colony. He saw our insurance card & said we need not worry about the expenses, as these will be covered by insurance co. He recommended to my husband to undergo for ECP treatment which is a new American Technology for MICRO VESSCULAR SYNDROME ailment that according to the doctor my husband was going through. He said he has to go for 10-20 sittings for this. When my husband repeatedly asked him what will be the expense regarding each sitting, then he simply ignored & gave the same answer, u need not worry the insurance company will take care of it. At the same time the TPA department they filed our papers with the insurance company for request of Rs 100,000/- of which we were not aware.Also the Doctor said that for cash-less benefit we have to be admitted for 3 days. Since we were not having any agent, so the doctor took full benefit of it. On the 3rd day the Doctor came to our room & told us that we have to extend our stay for 3 days more in order to complete our 10 sitting package of ECP. At that moment he also confirmed that if were having any agent, we said no to him, then he said ok he will do the needfull for us. But my husband got suspicious, that why is he asking us to extend our stay. Then my husband went to the TPA dept to know whether the Request has been accepted or not , then the TPA deptt, gave a call to insurance dept, & for our surprise we came to know that our request has been denied, but they mentioned on the letter that our case was opened for reimbursement on the merits of the case. We got panic, becoz untill then we were thinking that after 3 days, with no query from the insurance company, our request was accepted. At the very moment my husband gave a call to the Doctor to tell him that our request has been declined & to this my husband ask him to tell him how is going to pay for allthe expenses & my husband was going to leave the hospital on the 3rd day itself. But to this the Doc said don't worry we both will sit & sought out the matter the very next day. Then we stayed in the hospital for the 3rd night. The 4th day was the day that i would never forget in my life when the Doctor showed his Real face to us. My husband went to his room for asking him the Question of how he will pay for it, then he said he has already cut down the sittings from 20 to 10. He himself said that he is aware of this fact that in 90% of the cases like ours were declined, so we need not worry about this as he will give us strong certificates on the basis of which we will get the reimbursement. But to this my husband asked him if was aware of this fact that our request will be declined by the company,then he should have told us about this in the very beginning, to this he got angry & shouted at my husband & told that what BS he is talking with him & said that he will call the security personnel in the room & kick us out & that we were scaring him by asking those Questions. He was very rude with my husband, inspite of knowing this fact that he was a heart patient. TPA deptt, helped us to file a claim with the insurance company. But we were compelled to pay for 10 sitting package instead of paying for 6 sittings that my husband has availed. I mean to say we were forced to buy that package of 10 sittings, to get the original papers from the hospital for lodging a claim report. We got it in writting from the hospital that my husband can come for remaining 4 sitting at any time. But why were we not informed about it that the ECP sittings are like cake selling packages for the doctors. What if a patient was not able to pay for it? This is not the only one case, everyone says correct to this respect that one should ever face POLICE STATION & HOSPITAL in their lives. When this MONEY LAUNDRING system is going to stop in the HOSPITALS? When a patient will feel that this is the place where he is SAFE?

How to get justice from being harrased by the high profile doctors? There should be a team for ****ysis of various treatment given by doctors so that the patient has to pay only for the genuine reason.
