I was admitted in Padmini Nursing Home on16/09/2011 for a stent removal and discharged on 19/09/2011. While getting discharged the Admionistrator of the hospital(Ms. Christophee asked me to pay the full amount of Rs. 19,700/- for the treatment to get discharged from the hospital as they had not received the authorisation from MD India and promised me that as soon as the amount is authorised from MD India ,she will refund the amount to me. MD India had authorised an amount of Rs. 15,000/- on 20th of September (Though it was a CASHLESS TREATMENT FROM NATIONAL INSUERANCE(MD India). Padmini Nursing had claimed Rs.23,224 for my treatment to MD India and they sanctioned the excess amount of Rs.2,424/-as claimed by PNH. But whenever I call to contact Ms. Christophie, she never attend the call and the reception answers that she is out from the hospital and I'm the witness that she was present at the reception when I was calling. After all these I met her in the hospital and discussed about this matter, then she washes her hand saying that she is not aware of all these. Mine is not only the first case, butb many patients who were admitted in PADMINI NURSING HOME face problem with the Administrator MS. CHRISTOPHIE. In this regard, I would like to seek help from the consumer Court.
