    Thumbs down Thyrocare lab

I did my sets of blood test in pathology located in hyderabad who intern send the blood sample to Thyrocare lab.
So finally I got the blood reports from Thyrocare lab, mumbai paper head. There was a thyroid test called Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) whose expected count should be in rage of 0.3 to 5.5 uIU/ml but I got it >150. Then I consulted to Doctor from Pranaam hospital, Hyderabad where he suggested me to reconfirm TSH test so I gave my blood sample in Pranaam hospital itself. Test was done at Vijaya Diagnostic Center, Hyderabad and I got TSH value as 103.9 which is quite less and countable compare to just printing >150. Because of the abstract and incorrect count ie >150, I was under very high tension for couple of days.
Thyrocare Lab is using punch line as "World's largest thyroid testing laboratory" but not doing the basic thyroid test(TSH) properly.

Even i also had a same issue .. They are printing diagnostic report in the Mumbai letter head but the tests are done in hyderabad lab not Mumbai. When i (not only me any one) saw the report, they get the impression that the tests were performed in Mumbai not in Hyderabad, why can't the latter head having both Mumbai and Hyderabad office? I think they are misleading the people with that by saying that tests are done in Mumbai.

    Sir
We regret for the inconvenience caused to you. We do not have any lab other than the central processing laboratory in Navi Mumbai. If you have got any test done locally, it might be non-Thyrocare test. Please give us more details on info@thyrocare.com with a copy of the report you got from Hyderabad office so that we can investigate the same.

    Default complaint

I got tested my blood for many parameters, the values of HBAIC and ABG were quite different of two samples
    taken within 5-days by THYROCARE.
    DATE VALUES
    ------- -------------
    (1)HBAIC 14-11-11 5.70
    19-11-11 9.70

    (2) ABG 14-11-11 103.81
    19-11-11 237.01

The values show great variation.I contacted THYROCARE at Mumbai, but in vain. How the drug doses
will be decided ,only god knows.

    Hey mohanlal,

I get my tests often done from Thyrocare quite often.....coz my parents are diabetic i get this Hba1c done once in three months.
dey r rlly gd in delivery of services, the point is Hba1c is Glycosylated hemoglobin and it gives % of your heamoglobin that has been constantly exposed to glucose. Rlly its a cool test, look at what american diabetic association has to tell about this test, where as ABG is your average blood sugar based on you Hba1c, its similar to your random blood sugar telling you what has is your avg of your blood sugar over 3 months, They both are diff results so the values r bound to be diff.

hope this helps you, these guys also Thyrocare are also havin a helpline no for their customers you can cl dem tooo..... dnt rmbr it u cn get it frm google

    thanks

    vivek shah
