Respected Sir,

We the post graduate students of dept of internal medicine from VSS Medical College,BURLA want to bring your kind attention for improving our female medicine ward.There are only 50 beds are available for indoor female patients for medicine dept.But we are admitting nearly 25 patients daily because patient load is increasing day by day.For each patient he/she requires on avg four to five days for improvement then ready for discharge.So there is always THIRTY patients lying down on the floor every day.This is against ethics.Serious patients because of lying down on the floor we are not able to give proper care.The patients who are on the floor getting secondary infection because of dust on the floor.according to M.C.I (Medical council of india) there should be at least three meter distance between two beds.but in our female medicine ward it is only one meter.So there is more chance of spreading infection from one patient to another.Because of patients are lying on the floor nurses could not able to provide proper nursing care to the patients.Because our medical college is a govt medical college only poor patients are staying because they are not able to afford to go nursing hospital in spite of unhygienic condition in our hospital.There are a lt of space in our hospital which can be used for female medicine ward.so that patients can get bed and proper care.We the doctors want to provide care these poor patients but our authority not supporting at all.
We have repeatedly complain our hospital superintendent but he is doing nothing.there are a lot of problem in our hospital we are giving this is the most important because a lot of patients getting trouble.
So sir we are requesting you kindly consider this matter for people of ORISSA.we hope u will do something as early as possible.

THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL PROBLEM BUT THIS IS PROBLEM OF POOR PATIENTS.
