Angry A victim of So called Meniscus Tear & doctors Negligence

    Hi
This tragedy of mine will be lenghty one but interesting story .It started in the month of Nov 2009,when i was dancing and fell down from the stage, because of which i got a seviouir knee pain and was unable to walk .And next day i visited a noramal orthopaedic docotor

    DR.Anil Somkumar
mer ,"i am having a seviour pain in the knee '
Dr: "Thats ok ,take rest for one week you will be all right"

    Dr T D R (somajiguda ,Yashoda,Hyd)
This was the first response of the first Doc i met .and after one week i met another Doc in Hyderabad.
Nmeds Dr.T D R in Yashodha (somajiguda) and expalined my situation and showed my X-ray report. The funniest part over here was by looking at my X-ray he said u might have a meniscal injury and go for an MRI scan ..At that point of time i was not even aware of what is meniscus and how can it be injured ,but went for an MRI and report came out as GRADE 2 MENISCAL INJURY.by looking at wich he suggested an ARTHROSCOPY which was again a new thing to me ...within 2 days evrything was ready and ARTHROSCOPY was done with partial menisectamy on the LATERAL SIDE of the meniscus .after this he suggested me to physiotherapy for 2 months.

    Dr Amit Agarwal (bangalore )

After the first surgery and physiotherapy i came back to bangalore but the pain was constant, and i was in a hope that one day it will reduce which never came.Again here in bangalore i met the Third Doc name DR .AMIT AGARWAL .This gentlemen opened my eyes and showed that my first surgery was a big time flop because it was done on a wrong side of the knee..and again suggested for 2nd MRI ..which was done in Saptagiri Diagnostic Centre (Bangalore) and the Report was FULL THICKNESS TEAR IN MEDIAL AND LATERAL MENISCUS.by looking at this he again suggested for ARTHROSCOPY which was a bigtime shock to me and my family .

I went back to HYDERABAD and asked the first Dr T D R what actually happened .After rounds of discussion and arguments he accepted that a mistake was done and i will take the complete responsibility of second surgery, but we never believed him again.

Dr AKHIL DADI ( secunderabad Yashoda )

Based on my Second MRI report which showed "Full Thickness Tear" he again suggested an Arthroscopy .
After one week of long discussions we where ready for second surgery and finally Arthroscopy was done again..
The main twist in this surgery was the doc didnt find any signs of MENISCUS TEAR .and he closed the surgery as DIAGNOSTIC ARTHROSCOPY ..with no repairs ..It was again a surprise for me .

After this surgery i again repeated the same physiotherapy for around months.

    Dr.David V Rajan (coimbatore)

From the past 3 weeks again seviour pain started and this time with KNEE LOCKING symptoms and unable to walk .Because of which i again met Dr.David who suggested for an MRI again .

Here comes the final twist The Report came out as NORMAL ..
    ie no meniscal tear

Now am in a state of confusion and unable to judge whose mistake was it actually ..

    summary Treatment
1st MRI -GRADE 2 TEAR in the MEDIAL MENISCUS Arthroscopy (Lateral menisectomy)
2nd MRI -Full Thickness Tear in Medial & Lateral Meniscus Arthroscopy (Diagnostic)(No repair)
3rd MRI -Normal (no meniscus tear)

Now the only Question which is running continuosly in my mind is When there was no meniscua tear at all why i underwent 2 times arthroscopy and why there is a severe pain even now ..

    Suggestion Required plzzz......
