listen .. i had the same problem of having a 3G logo and the speed would be even lower than edge .. thts not our phones problem .. its airlel .. do not call them , all those people are stupid .. email them on 121@in.airtel.com ... the mail should contain ur name , address , bars u r receiving , area , building/open place .. and i guess u r facing this problem everywhere .. irrespective of place or type of place .. and of course it should contain ur phn number .. i think ur problem should be resolved within max of 4-5 days ..
