This is to bring to notice the unfair and unprofessional treatment I have been receiving from Airtel. In May 2011 I had taken up a broadband connection from airtel. I was very happy with the connection and unknowingly paid in advance for the month of july in 1st week of june only. But immediately after that the connection went from bad to worst , and every 3rd day I had to lodge a complaint but to no effect. Then finally end of june I decided to cancel my connection and to that effect called up customer care and raised a request for cancellation and took up you broadband. But airtel did not disconnect and kept on calling me about the payment of bill and kept on charging me. Everytime they called I told them that I had already raised a request for cancellation in June and thereby no action has been taken, pls do so and since I had raised the request when my bill was paid in advance and since then I have not used airtel I am not going to pay anything. To this they said ok, they will send someone to take the modem. But again no action was taken. Now these unprofessional people because of their lack of responsibility is threatening me of legal action if I do not pay them the falsely accrued amount. What to do?
