Hi,

The user(Consumer) had an Airtel post paid connection and ECS clearing. The user calls Airtel for disconnection and Airtel says number will be disconnected and also the ECS will be automatically stopped. The user leaves india for a long assigment. But when the bank account summary is checked there is a automatic clearing(ECS) from Airtel for the next 4 months and loses Rs1000 for the number unused. The user calls airtel but there is no response and asks the bank to terminate the ECS clearing.

The user returns back to india and gets a new airtel number and airtel says that there is an outstanding bill of Rs500 for the old number and hence the incoming and outgoing is barred for the new number. The user calls and explains to the customer care office and the Airtel Nodal office to waive the amount but then the status does not change for the next 3 weeks. The user discontinues Airtel and goes for a different provider.

This is not the first case. this is happening for so many people and the system which Airtel uses has to be fixed. Someone has to get into this and check immediately.
