Since Apr 23, 2011 noon, I have been unable to make any outgoing calls or send messages from my prepaid Mumbai Airtel number: 9004815517. The balance in this account is about Rs.450 and the service expires in July 2012. So there's no problem there. Also incoming calls and messages seem to be working. Only the outgoing seems to have been locked out for no apparent reason!
I called Airtel Customer Care twice and both times they were totally unable to help. The first lady simply told me to restart my phone and check. When i told her that I had already tried that several times, she said that I should simply wait as it could be a network congestion issue! That's nonsense! How can there be a network congestion issues for 2 whole days?? I inserted this SIM in my husband's phone and it didn't work on that phone either so this is definitely an Airtel issue. When I called Airtel Customer Care again, the second lady gave me another number to call: 9892051914, which turned out to be defunct!!! I'm totally frustrated with this.
Can someone please fix this issue asap???
