Airtel outgoing calls & msgs problem

    Angry Airtel outgoing calls & msgs problem

    Since Apr 23, 2011 noon, I have been unable to make any outgoing calls or send messages from my prepaid Mumbai Airtel number: 9004815517. The balance in this account is about Rs.450 and the service expires in July 2012. So there's no problem there. Also incoming calls and messages seem to be working. Only the outgoing seems to have been locked out for no apparent reason!

    I called Airtel Customer Care twice and both times they were totally unable to help. The first lady simply told me to restart my phone and check. When i told her that I had already tried that several times, she said that I should simply wait as it could be a network congestion issue! That's nonsense! How can there be a network congestion issues for 2 whole days?? I inserted this SIM in my husband's phone and it didn't work on that phone either so this is definitely an Airtel issue. When I called Airtel Customer Care again, the second lady gave me another number to call: 9892051914, which turned out to be defunct!!! I'm totally frustrated with this.

    Can someone please fix this issue asap???

    Angry Weird Airtel resolution

    About an hour after filing this complaint this morning, I received a couple of text messages from Airtel Customer Care saying that they are working on the issue. And then within a few minutes, I was able to make outgoing calls and send messages.

    However, now suddenly the problem has re-occurred!! I cannot make any calls or send messages! What is going on???

    Angry Airtel Prepaid Outgoing not working

    Even I have a similar issue which was listed by Savita Pillai...what's happening with Airtel.

    I am not able to make Outgoing calls & SMS since past one week. Incoming is working. When I called up Customer care they mentioned that there is no issue on their side...then where is the issue?

    A complaint was logged with airtel but still not resolution. In the mean airtel should allow call forwarding to non-airtel number (inter-circle) or else I will have to through Airtel SIM in the bin and look for another service provider.

    My Prepaid number - 9970407358

    There is a balance of more than Rs.350....still outgoing in not working.

    I will give another 48 hours for airtel to resolve else will dump them.

    Angry Please have it resolved as quickly as possible!

    Hi Rakesh,

    I don't think I can wait for too long for this issue to be resolved as I just cannot make any calls and in an emergency that could prove to be terrible. Moreover, my friends and family are now complaining that sometimes they get a 'number not available' message when they try to call me. And that;s positively worse! If this does not get fixed soon enough, I will have to switch carriers. So please advice as soon as possible.

    Angry Problem NOT resolved!

    This problem has NOT been resolved!!! It worked for a day and then didn't work at all!!! What is happening?? How can an issue like this not be solved by your team??

    Can someone please look into this issue as soon as possible and fix it? I'm trying to hold on without changing carriers but you guys are making it inevitable.

    Exclamation i am not able to call any number with airtel

    hi,

    i got IPHONE 4 3 days ago....

    i am not able to call but i am getting calls and messages.... even i can send messages....

    it works with other sim but not with airtel

    so please suggest me any network settings problem.....

    Hi,
    try making ur phone profile "offline" and then change back to "general"...u'll b able 2 make calls...it is not a permanent solution though..
