I purchased a pre-paid 3G data card Dec-31st 2011. This was a 2.5GB card with validity for 30 days and cost about 700Rs, phone number 9632373499
By 10 days time, with very limited use - the account balance is 0! I wanted to use it on my ipad - this was a microSIM.
My advice : NEVER go for Airtel - they are biggest cheaters out there.
1. When you call the help-desk - they give you some number or the other. They don;t know anything about who is supposed to address the problem
2. The call gets disconnected automatically after 3 minutes - out of which you may be on hold for 2 minutes.
3. The calls for customer service are charged and sometimes work only from Airtel number, some numbers work only from non-airtel numbers!!
4. The service agents did not know what I was talking about - they could not understand microSIM card
5. The e-mail 121@in.airtel.com is a big joke - they only provide automatic acknowledgement without any service
6. Nodal officer and appellate officer - all jokers nobody takes any complaint - only the hierarchy is there like a government organization
they are far worse bastard than BSNL ever was. It is good to know government organizations are having tough competetition - and all these companies are causing 7% GDP growth!! India is a joke in many ways i would say..!!
