Dear Sir,
My Airtel Prepaid Card - 9004481978 was deactivated without any notification. On visiting a Airtel Center, I was informed that a verification call had been made to this number and since that was not received so the number was deactivated. Now, there are a few points which I would like to raise regarding this verification call:
1) If this call was made and not received , why was I not informed by sms when I receive atleast 5-6 promotion sms from airtel everyday? Also how many times, was I called before you decided to deactivate this number? I have never rejected any call in recent times, so how is it that I missed this very very IMPORTANT CALL from Airtel?
2) In Mumbai, I reside in Bhandup and work in Goregaon, both my office building and residential receive very selective network from Airtel. More than half the time, my phone does not receive any network.So it it right to penalize me for poor network coverage of airtel?
3) I have been using this number since August 2009, and I make at least 6-7 calls daily from this number, so was it not possible to check your records before deciding that this number is not in use and should be deactivated?
I am totally upset by this behaviour from Airtel.To top this thing, when I go to the Airtel Center, they direct me to buy a duplicate sim card for Rs 25 saying that my number would be activated within 2-3 days. After 3 days when I call up your customer care, they inform me that my number is deactivated and I would have to go to the store to get it activated. The airtel store guys give me one story and customer care another.I am confused, angry and irritated. My work is getting affected due to this.Is there any way to get my number back?
