My Airtel pre-paid number (+91 95350 53791) was disconnected more than a week ago.Repeated calls to customer care did not help so i had to call up the nodal office.A nodal officer named Sushma told me that as some detail in my enrollment form was wrong it was disconnected.This despite me submitting all my document properly and also getting a verification call from their end.The connection was taken more than 3 months back.I was asked to go to an Airtel office and get a duplicate Sim card for the same number.The next day on reaching the airtel relationship store(in Ghandhi Bazar, Bangalore) I spoke to an executive there named Santosh and in fact made him speak with the nodal officer i spoke to the previous day for instructions.Inspite of being told by the Nodal officer to give me a new Sim card he insisted that he could activate my old Sim itself and made me submit my documents again.My number was not activated even after waiting for 48 hours.So i called up the nodal office and spoke to the same officer and explained the situation.She called up the Airtel relationship officer and on enquiry found out that he made the mistake by not giving me a duplicate Sim. He was asked to deliver it to my office the next day.But the next day when i tried to call him his phone was switched off and I was forced to go back to the Airtel relationship center and was given a new Sim.On asking when it would get activated the executive there(Santosh) claimed that as i was getting the duplicate SIM for free( I do not know why he did not charge me) i should not complain about things like this!!!!.Repeated calls to him to activate the new sim also failed.I again called up the Nodal office and spoke to someone called Deepak.who told me he would solve my problem and get back.Now when i call the nodal office and request for any of the two (Deepak and Sushma) to call back they just avoid my calls.It has been more than 48 hours since i took my new Sim card and am not able to call either the nodal office or the airtel relationship store guy for my activation.Further they refuse to give me a complaint number stating that my phone is right now disconnected.Unfortunately as this is my official number I am not able to ditch the whole thing and get myself a fresh connection.(Surely not Airtel!!!)

My mobile no is +919955527555 disconnected since one year. I have contacted air-tel franchise when it was disconnected but it was not restored.Now I want to restore my above mobile no.Is it possible by any recharge voucher?

This is Vinoth kumar. C from chennai. last week i made a request for changing the name of the airtel no. 9840650382 and submitted my proofs and photo to Airtel Purasawalkam branch. Befor that no. is in the name of Mr. Raju, who worked with Jayeshchem. We both only went and asked about the name change. And got a new simcard and the executive told that it will be activated within 48 hours. But till now it is not activated means i somebody makes call it is telling that "the no. is temporarily unavailable". If we dial any no. it is telling that "your account is suspended". today i went to purasawalkam airtel branch to resolve this issue. they told contact customer care. i contacted they are telling it is in recycling stage. I dont understand what happened. No proper response from Airtel, i request you to please activate this no. 9840650382. We are using this no. for our business purpose for many years. This no. is very important for us. for the past two weeks only it is not in use. because it is not activated that why. If name change is not possible please activate the no. soon. please do the needful

I have been using my airtel number 9895111170 for more than 5 years. Now I am in Dubai for job purpose. And my number was working in roaming. I used to recharge my connection and send sms to keep it active. On march 21st, my connection got disconnected and I contacted with Airtel customer care by mail. They informed me that the conditions for keeping a connection active are make an outgoing call or recieve an incoming call in 90 days OR recharge with minimum Rs200 in 180 days. I made a recharge of Rs333 on November. And I replied to to customer care by mentioning the recharge details. But received the same reply from them. After that I called their Nodal Officer but he/she did not answer my call. Then I sent 4 mails to nodal officer but no reply yet. This is number is so special to me and also it is registered with my SBI Mobile Banking. If I need to change my mobile number with bank, I have to go there in person. So if anybody from Airtel reading this messsage, please help me to get my number back. I had a talk time balance of Rs450.

Hats Off to Airtel Customer Care
After posting my complaint here, I received a call here in Dubai from Airtel Response. It was one Mr Manoj R. He asked for sim number and promised me that he will try to solve it as soon as possible.
